Best Roti in LA! Great TRINIDADIAN food.

I travel the world and will always look for home cooked food. I was fortunate to find this fine establishment in Los Angeles. The food is SUPERB and the service is as you would want anywhere; SUPERB and prompt.

The kitchen is efficient and very clean and the quality of food for the price is on par with a restaurant of this type. I enjoy taking my family there for a taste and reminder of home and it is always full of friendly patrons who all seem to know each other and who welcome the new customer with that West Indian warmth.

Highly recommended and there is ample parking.

• Cons: None really, reminds you of a neighbourhood restaurant in Trinidad

No longer great since they changed ownership!

I used to love this place but the food has gone downhill since they changed ownerships!

The roti is still good but the patties are nowhere near as great as they used to be. I am no longer a regular and I am looking for a new a Carribean place that serves "Authentic" food!

Places like Cha Cha Cha need not be suggested but if anyone knows of a great place that serves authentic island food please forward me the info! Thanks.

my second attempt to write a review about this really authentic trinidadian and tobagonian food find...my first one went straight into a system error...this place is kept very down to earth and simple, so in case you are looking for a fancy place to take a date to, this is not it...

unfortunately i arrived 10minutes before closing (thursday night right before 8pm), so the only dish that i was able to get was the curry chicken, the portions are quite big and the food is really delicious.i bet all the other dishes are really good and authentic too! i assume almost all of their business is from the neighborhood but i have to say i was really warmly welcomed as an obvious outsider.

• Cons: they close early
