I always enjoy going to Urban Outfitters...I dig the music playing and the whole vibe. When I went they were having a sale and was very impressed with some of the markdowns. I think they sell a lot of qulity and clothing and many other items. I have been coming to Urban Outfitters for quite sometime and will continue to...

In Short
Straight from the funky street styles of Southern Philly, this bohemian-chic shopping mecca has evolved to offer everything from trendy men and womens clothing to vintage-y home accessories. Brands like Lux, BDG, and Free People encompass the stores' youthful, ironically humorous, and comfortable designs. While apparel is the main draw, the urban emporium also sells kitschy, retro, and downright odd knick knacks and accessories for the living room, bedroom, and kitchen as well. Each section is packed with creative arrangements to peruse while listening to a soundtrack of the staff's favorite tunes.

Trendy locale on the promenade, parking is rough if you are just going there to shop. Clothes are consignment store style with a Nordstroms price tag. Cool stuff, but get your ideas here and shop elsewhere. If you are willing to spring for something worthy, spend a bundle on a great pair of jeans that fit just right. There is a plethora of possibilities here, but overpriced.
PROS: Cool, trendy items; great jeans; home interiors
CONS: overpriced, hard to park

Urban Outfitters is such a fun store to shop in. They have terrific styles to choose from and lots of fun, kitschy accessories to decorate your home as well. The staff is helpful and friendly and they do not hover over you while you shop or bug you to make a sale. It's a big location, too...lots to choose from!
good sized store

This store located on the Santa Monica promenade has three levels and a very good selection of mens, womens and houseware items. There is always a crowd of young people in there and the music is quite loud. A fun experience with fairly inexpensive items. The clothes and shoes for both men and women are nice and casual with lots of t shirts and jeans. A good spot to stock up on hip basics.

When I go shopping the first place I think of for clothes is Urban Outfitters at 3rd Street Promenade. Not only do they have nice gear they also have a friendly staff.

I love the things they have here, but I'm not about to pay 80$ for a jacket that looks like it came from the Salvation Army rack. It may have some stylish little details and it did fit oh-so-well, but I can spend my money better in other places. If its gonna be expensive, it better look expensive, or have some kind of hidden prize in the pockets.
PROS: Pricey
CONS: Fun

Urban Outfitters--hmmmm....look but don't touch. If you've been in LA for a while, you know to find creativity for a better price. Between the Hindu Gods displayed on lamps and the overpriced lil' teeny bopper t-shirts, I'd say, find a Goodwill and do it yourself! I must admit--when I first moved to LA in 1998 I was overwhelmed and excited. That excitement quickly faded away and the realization came that the material is over-priced, trendy and low-quality. I found myself wanting to create it at home for a much lesser price. They are also expensive. Don't be a sucker and waste your money in an establishment that simply wants to follow-not lead! The Promenade is fun place to be--but the whole theme is tourism, trendiness and EXPENSIVE!! I would recommend for anyone to walk around and note the prices and go downtown to get anything found for more than half the price. Oh well! I don't want to burst your bubble too much, it is fun to look at the pretty silks downstairs and talk to friendly staff.
PROS: fun to walk around, friendly staff and great location
CONS: parking is terrible and it is over priced
