First off let me say that i am ranked the #3 food critic in the nation so please take what i have to say very seriously. The service here was unbelievable... and i dont mean that in a good way. The waiters we're rude and not friendly, the manager checked out my girlfriends cleavage, and the food was so so def. Nothing Special. What upset me the most - our waiter brought out the check totaling $188.25 we paid it promptly in cash, but as we were getting set to leave he returns with $188 dollars in one dollar bills and he started to make it rain he made it rain he made it rain our heads (for those of you who dont understand the concept of making it rain, its when someone showers you with money) the whole time he was singing "i make it rain i make it rain i make it rain on my ohhhs" REALLY WEIRD AND UNCALLED FOR!!! If you decide to visit this restaurant against what you already know.... make sure to bring an umbrella! You will get rained on!
Pros: I got a job as a street performer
Cons: Bad Service followed by the waiter making it rain on your head

This place had bad service. I mean you expect a quality of service in some of these "nicer" restaurants. Not cheap food and snobby waiters. Way to ignore cultural and religious diversity by trying to feed meat to a vegetarian!
Pros: Its in LA
Cons: Everythig else

If you're hoping for a great night of dining with excellent service, this is NOT the place to go. It ruined my Friday night and I would not recommend this place to anyone. The place looks so cute and elegant, but the people who work there ruin that atmosphere. Pick another place... I believe La Salsa is right around the corner, and THAT is amazing service for you :)
Pros: food and decor
Cons: service

We all went out for a friends bday -- they were nice to hold the table for us a bit longer. But that's where the compliments stop. The waiter came by to our table and gave us 1 basket of bread (for 15 people), they spilled water on our table (and didnt clean it up). My friend ordered a salad without the bacon (she is a strict vegetarian) and they bring it back with a few pieces of bacon in there. I go to waiter and ask him to take off the bill and he says he needs to talk to his manager. We get the bill it's still on there, so I go to talk to the manager and the dude says "did you send it back?" and i said "no, she didnt want to eat anymore after she saw the meat" and he says "well i cant help you then". I end up cussing the guy out. We go to pay and we end up getting the bill with gratutity included. So we pay whatever was on the bill and we leave. As we leave the manager STOPS us and says "you cant leave until you pay the entire bill" i told him to re count - and the waiter actually mis-counted, it was embarassing to have people staring at you for not paying your bill. 3rd street is an awesome place to hang out with friends, but this place is an absolute horrid place and should never be visited.
Pros: nice location
Cons: service, food, price, almost everything else

This restaurant may be in a great location but that's about the only thing great about it. If you like bad service, generic overpriced food, and angry waitors, come to this place. Grade F

This place was one of my worse dining experiences ever. Don't expect anyone to refill your drink. The waitors are slow, the management is unfriendly and they like to charge money to bring out a cake. Take your business elsewhere.

I normally eat at higher-end Italian restaurants, but bumped into this and keep coming back. Sit at the back bar and watch the chef rapidly preparing the meals. It's fun to watch but makes it difficult to decide what to order as everything he makes looks and smells terrific! My favorites: mushroom ravioli, cappelini rustica, the sole and the lasagna. If you really want to get into the spirit of the promenade and enjoy a fresh and tasty dinner, this is the place!!
Pros: Authentic, reasonably priced

This restaurant is ok. I don't know why I always go back to it. It's nothing special, but at least the quality of ingredients is good. Whatever you order, it will be good. It's romantic to eat on the patio, but the downside is the street performers. We sat for one hour listening to a terrible rendition of jewel. It ruined dinner. Overall, a good average place to eat.
Pros: good quality
Cons: prices, street performers, wine

There's nothing special about this place, other than the fact it's on third street. You can find better Italian food just about anywhere else in LA, and the service was really slow and seemed annoyed or tired. If you're on third street and craving Italian, go for it, but venture elsewhere for better food and service.

I used Citysearch to find this restaurant and was very dissappointed. This place is very generic, with tourist-quality food and average wine.
Pros: ok ambiance
Cons: generic food
