Pradeep Doesn't Deliver
by stefanhajek at Citysearch
I don't know what the in-house experience is here, but we ordered delivery and were highly disappointed. Claimed free delivery, but had hidden delivery charges. The portions were really small and the food took over an hour to get a mile away. Everything was cold and the food itself was nothing about which to write home. Guess these guys didn't take into account that there are many choices for Indian food in this city, and they will not again be ours.
- Pros: They serve Indian food
- Cons: Small portions, delivery charges, cold food
AWFUL

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ...We have ordered from Pradeep's several times and the food has always been good, albeit expensive for what you actually get. Ordered tonight and they left out the samosas. We were told when we called that we were out of luck, the samosas were in the bag. They were in fact NOT in the bag so if you're considering ordering from a restaurant that has such POOR customer service think again. There are so many good places that actually value their customers and cost far less. And give you your entire order and don't argue with you.
- Pros: Good Food
- Cons: Left out a portion of our order then refused to deliver it.
Contemporary Indian restaurant blends traditional curries with health-conscious influence.

In Short
On trendy Montana Avenue, this neighborhood Indian spot is a popular place for impromptu dates, casual family dinners and post-yoga meals. Candlelit tables, shiny wood floors and Indian music create a comfortable and eclectic dining experience. Pradeep's touts healthy Indian dishes and curries without butter or cream. Lots of vegetarian choices are available, like the fried vegetable samosas and potato pancakes with ginger and green chili.
Cozy, trendy atmosphere and great food

A lot of my other favorite Indian restaurants (Nawab, Akbar) have slightly better food but fugly atmosphere. Pradeep's is adorable inside and the food is great. I know their whole thing is healthy Indian food but luckily the food is so great you never think about the missing cream or ghee. Nice to have some salad on the plate, too.
Love It!

I can't say enough good things. Pradeep is a hands-on chef and very warm and talented. Try the Vindaloo -- you won't be disappointed. A+
Truly Stellar!

Based on reading reviews of every Indian restaurant on the Westside, plus having tried (and enjoyed) many others--we decided to give Pradeep's a shot. Right away, we loved the warm (yet casual) environment, and the service was friendly and prompt, not snooty. More than anything though, the food was excellent. We tried the special salmon, which melted in our mouths. The vegetarian sampler plate was amazing--terrifically nuanced flavors, and hard to believe they cook with no butter or cream. You never miss the unhealthy ingredients! The naan was very fresh. We also tried the lemon ball rice appetizer--which was actually more like a salad with puffed rice. Different, but light and fun. This restaurant appears to be a little hole in the wall, but it's going to become a regular stop of ours in the future.
Delivery is the only way to go

Lot's of vegetarian dishes and great Indian dishes. We almost always use the delivery and now coupled with the ability to order online it makes it soooooo easy to have dinner.
No Ghee!
by teamzissou at Citysearch
Many people are surprised to learn that most Indian food is made with clarified butter, otherwise known as ghee. Many sauces are also made with cream and milk, and Indian food can be heavy, if not downright unhealthy. Even regular Naan bread is not really vegetarian!
Thankfully, Pradeeps is one of the few places in LA where you can get healthy Indian food that does not use ghee. Instead, they use plant oils like olive oil. The taste is not compromised at all, and the food is infinitely better for you. In fact, because the food is a little lighter than most Indian cuisine, I find it even more enjoyable.
- Pros: Healthy, Big Menu, Affordable
Indian food w/o usual food coma...
by paulanthonymills at Citysearch
A refreshing twist on Indian cuisine - dishes are made without butter or cream, so you enjoy a deliciojus Indian meal without that I-just-had-Indian-food-and-ate-too-much feeling. (You know what I mean.) The roasted eggplant soup should not be missed. Ambiance is peaceful. Great date spot. Plenty of vegetarian options.
