Dude, this place rocks.

You bring your surfboard in, or whatever, and not more than two steps in, someone's like, "What up, dude?!?"

Then like three people swarm you and look at your board, and get you what you need.

Never, ever, been disappointed here. Screw those other places, that have like uninterested, pure sales clerks.

The dudes that work here are all surfers, and I think they'd much rather just chill, smoke a bowl, and get other dudes stoked on surfing too, than try to sell you a bunch of useless junk.

A+.

• Pros: Fantastic customer service, good prices, parking in back, good variety.
• Cons: Absolutely none.

ZJ has great stuff

Everytime I go to ZJ's I always find the stuff I need. They also have good sales and just about every kind

of snowboard equipment i want.

Great place for boards surf and otherwise

Just about everyone on staff is really helpful and they have a great spot in Santa Monica. Great place to look for boards or other merchandise. Enjoy your visit.

Awesome selection and employees

I've been going to ZJ Boarding House for the last 8 years and this shop is still the best in the area. They have amazing employees who know a lot about snowboarding. Some of them have been there ever since I started going in! Lately I checked out a couple of other shops, but I went in to their sale yesterday and I was blown away at the selection. Tony spent about an hour helpoing me and I ended up with a Magna-Traction Lib Tech...and I only went in for gloves! I also talked with Nicole and she totally dialed me about the new jackets. Good people and I just wanted to give a shout out to them.

• Pros: Insane selection and a great staff
• Cons: Parking isn't the best, but I found a spot quickly

It's easy to find a good surf shop near the beach, but ZJ Boarding House gets props for maintaining an equally impressive year-round selection of skate- and snowboard gear, too. An all-pro staff answers questions, tunes boards, and sponsors local events showcasing up-and-coming surfers and snowboarders. Next door, in a separate but adjoining storefront, ZJ's carries technical, sport-specific clothing, including wetsuits and snowboard jackets, shoes, and women's swim- and sportswear.

i heart zj's

zj's is awesome. a friend recommended i come here to get fitted for snowboarding boots - so i did. the staff is really helpful and informative. they definitely know what they're doing. this is my new favorite board store. i heart zj's!
