Great Music and cool Tribute Band
by ShortyGirl1981
I went to the club last Friday 07/11/08, which was a first for me. I usually go on Saturdays. I have to say that last Friday was the best time I've ever had at Vertigo's. Music in both rooms was really good some of the best 80?s music was played. The live tribute band, The Curse was pretty good. The crowd was filled with your typical rockabilly boys and their high maintenance girls. Parking was $9 which isn't bad and the cover was $10. Drink prices are decent just make sure to ask for the premium liquors like Ketle One or Grey Goose. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 star was because some moron tried to start a fight with my boyfriend and some chunky girl (which is common at the club) pushed me from behind. For the most part, the crowd was pretty chill except for a few jerks.
- Pros: Decent tribute bands and good music
- Cons: Some jerks in the crowd, small dance floor
Great place to go to have a great time!!

If you love 80's music and just want to go hang out with friends...this is the place to go. Don't park inside because it cost 10 dollars, but its free if you park outside. I got in free because I knew someone, but regularly you would pay 10 dollars. I love it here and would recommend it to anyone!! The drinks are not expensive, it has 2 rooms with great music, great place to meet new people, and couches if you get tired.
- Pros: great music, short lines, friendly staff, great environment with great people
- Cons: Parking
Vertigo's good music thats it

I went to vertigos about two weeks ago cover charge was pricey the drinks were not very strong the only thing that kept me was the music. One room is 80's rock with rock en espanol which was empty the other room which was crowded played your usual hip hop. Now the hip hop room was crowded the girls all had boyfriends the dance floor was really small and blocked the entrance to the bathroom. The 80's room got a little crowded after awhile they played really good songs i danced for a bit and left. I wouldnt return to vertigos unless the cover charge was $1.50 and they made the drinks alot stronger only plus is the music.
- Pros: Good 80's music
- Cons: Expensive cover charge weak drinks
Horrible treatment at Vertigos
by florecitarok
I have been going to this club for a long time, and overall, I liked it, but this Wednesday, the big pre turkey day bash day, I regretfully decided to attend.
The staff was tremendously rude, I couldn't believe the treatment we got. After being such loyal customers for the past couple of years, by boyfriend and I were forced to wait in line for an hour even though we were on the guestlist. While we waited, the line came to an eternal hault. To our suprise, a gargantuan group of young bratts, slipped the door guy some cash and instantly made their way past the line. While we all stood there. What do these guys think this place is!! Some sort of uppity, trendy Hollywood spot?? if they are going to let people cut in like that, they should at least make sure it's a group of hot girls, geeze.
I was truely disapointed with this place.
- Pros: the 80's and indie rock music
- Cons: the treatment at the door
Overpriced, Poorly Managed, and Untrained Staff
by nikki3282
I had the absolute worst experience ever at this place. The cover charge was $15 which is way overpriced for it being a 21 & over club and playing the same songs over & over again! That wasn't even the worst part though, when I went to the bar to close out my tab the bartender had lost both my ID and my debit card! The manager refused to come out and talk to me & when I finally found someone who was supposedly management he miraculously "found" my card an hour and a half later! The "manager" then flung my card at me and said "I'll do you a favor and waive the tab"...how generous, huh? (the bill was only $41 to begin with). I would never go back here!
- Pros: good parking
- Cons: rude staff & repetitive music
Hip hop and 80s nights bring flirty club-style dancing downtown.
by Katie Heffernan
In Short
This dark, almost gothic downtown club lights up its dual dance floors only two nights a week. With glowing green lanterns and spinning colored beams illuminating the spacious brick walled rooms in flashes, the gussied up, largely neighborhood crowd gets flirtatious glimpses of each other from small, scattered plush lounges, or the dance floor sideline rail. The two bars, live bands and DJs--blasting hip hop and 80s hits--keep bodies and beats flowing.
If you like 80's and Hip Hop..

The club is pretty dark, it has two separate rooms, and a patio. One room is only 80's music, and the other is hip hop. The only thing that I didn't really like, is the hip hop room because they keep playing the same songs over and over. The prices on the drinks are average, and the valet parking is pretty cheap. Just in case you forgot to bring cash, there's an atm across the street.
