Bad Experience
by mrgeorge0123 at Citysearch
I had a very bad experience at this little cafe. The food and bakery is good, but the service is very bad, especially from the manager (aka Louis). He talk to me if I was 12 years old and treat me as as I was a 2nd class citizen. I have not been treated this way ever in a restaurant! To sum up. the food is not bad, and the service is HORRIBLE!
- Pros: baekery
- Cons: service especially from manager (aka Louis)
Upscale alfresco cafe with classic American cuisine and an onsite bakery.

In Short
Tucked inside a nouveau-rustic shopping village, this cute cafe accents traditional American dishes with homemade goodies from its bakery. With red leather banquettes on the patio, it satisfies the preppy community's need for casual, grandkid-friendly dining. The menu features lunch-brunch standbys with a California twist: tortilla soup, Baja chicken salad and a signature Sloppy Joe sandwich made from pulled pork and barbecue sauce.
good through and through the years

isto has been consistently delicious for years. Sure, they never change their menus or what's in their bakery EVER, but why mess with a good thing? They make some of the best cappuccino and tiramisu in town, have a wonderful brunch (try the cheese blintzes), and delicious Californian dinners (try the SW quesadilla).
Even their root beer is goodif its still the same, they have one dispenser for the soda part and the other for the sugary syrup part so you can have it as sweet as you want. Right down to the warm bread they bring out, this place has always and will always be good.
Now if they could just do something to spruce up the atmosphere, this place could be unbelievable.
- Pros: Californian cuisine at its best--food, prices, desserts
- Cons: very dry-n-stiff 90s atmosphere
Enough canolis to feed an Art Dump.

Incredible. If I was there, I eat 3 canolis in a sitting and take home some raviolis.
