I love this place!

Here's the deal. I have always had a traditional swedish massage and what's not to like? Hot oil or lotion being applied lovingly to your back and limbs. Lovely right? Yes, until the horrific sight of your post massage hair and smeared mascara in the mirror. But then my friend Ann turned me on to Tokyo Spa, a little slice of heaven. This is Shiatsu, a deep tissue, pressure point massage. No oil, very little skin on skin contact, but the result is a deeply relaxing, chakra aligning, meditative experience that will change the way you look at traditional swedish massage. Why pay $85-$150 to be politely oiled up when you can pay $65 and feel like you've been medically realigned with the universe. I go into such a deeply relaxed state that I float somewhere between a dream land and sleep. I feel my pulse flow easier and my breathing steady after a trip to Tokyo Spa. I personally love Yoko but my friends love Kazu. And why not top off your experience with some shabu shabu at the Shabu House in Tokyo Village. Ahhhh a perfect international escape without the annoying airport and the hoity toityness of Burke Williams.
- Pros: Yoko is a goddess!
- Cons: Sometimes the jacuzzi is not hot enough.
