It's a traditional japanese restaurant, so one would assume that the sushi chefs knew what they were doing.....i consider myself a connoisseur, but even a newbie could tell u that dry AND warm sushi isn't good for you. so yea, YIKES. Besides the dry/warm sushi and chewy octopus, the calamari appetizer made me forget about the sushi. i liked it and my 4 year old nephew couldn't stop asking for more.. small strips of calamari were breaded and deep fried, topped with paper-thin, fishy tast-like shreds and served with a warm dipping sauce of 'i don't know what but it was good'. Honestly, the last time I've been here was 10 years ago; when I was first introduced to sushi and the place seemed fine to me. I loved the atmosphere b/c it was traditional and cozy..the place was dimly lit and intimate. Now, well, it's not anymore. There seems to be more open space and the menu changed...and got smaller? I don't know about this place...but I do know, I'll probably never go back cause there are so many other places out there that serve better food, period.

Pros: calamari appetizer

Cons: everything else besides the calamari
