One fun divebar!

The First Cabin is definitely one of those fun hot spots we all seek! It is a long narrow bar with limited seating and a postage stamp sized dance floor. Net result- a party atmoshphere on the weekends.

Great music, diverse crowd, and a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The band that plays on the Thursday through Saturday, Pat OBrien and the Priests of Love, is flat out world class. The overall vibe in the room is pretty relaxed and inviting.

Definitely a fun place to bring your friends for a night out.

There is a parking lot behind the bar, just turn down the ally.

Best Dive Bar Ever!!

First Cabin has a great vibe, very low key and local friendly. It's a great place to go on a week night and just kick one back with a friend, or amazing on weekends to rock out to a great cover band. Friday and Saturday nights Pat O'Brian and The Priests of Love will keep you swinging to all kinds of rock favorites--and they take cash requests =)

Other pros...

*They also sell cigarettes and beef jerky.

* They have a photo hunt game.

*They take all major credit cards.

* Nice little patio out the back for smokers.

• Pros: Strong, cheap drinks- Friendly Bartenders- AMAZING BAND!!
• Cons: standing room only on weekends

A fun lil spot

yea....this bar is kinda for older people....but im 23...been going to this bar since i was 21....i love band..the music the bar tender is cool...he always hooks it up with the vodka....and a major plus you can smoke inside! i love it!

The Best Blues and Rock Band in Southern Calif.

The First Cabin is the best spot in Southern California for music. The band is Pat O'brien and his band. The best guitar player, drummer and bass player in the area. Great music Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Best bet is Saturday nite. The Bar tender is the best in the business. He pours a great drink everytime. The Best Blues House in SoCal. Say high to John & Connie when you in.

Great Atmosphere but...

The only downside is a somewhat rude bartender & an unobiquitous waitress with an attitude; other than that - the place is very cozy. The drinks are well made & reasonably priced, the crowd is pleasant & the bands (especially Pat O'brian) rocks!

Old person's Bar, young viejos bar

This place is a good nontrendy place for a drank. Decent pours and cheap beers with smoky atmosphere. You gotta love the old men planted at every other seat. So pull up a chair and pickle your insides.
