GREAT food . . . BAD service
by HybridPally at Citysearch
The food tasted great, but the portions are somewhat on the small side. Now, I don't ask for much and am mostly content with what I have and try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but the woman serving my table was horrible. She always had a scowel on her face, constantly ignored my table, and it seemed she serviced tables better if she thought she was going to be tipped well, which really is a pitty, because I have been known to tip up to 30% based soley on service. (It also shows how one should never judge a book by its cover). I think I can say I get better service at the DMV!! In any case, the atmoshphere was cozy and I still marvel at how they managed to fit all those tables in there. I do recomend trying the food, because it is delicious, but only if you have a few (9-12) extra bucks to drop for small portions and bad service.
- Pros: Delicious Food
- Cons: Small portions and very bad service
Terrific Thai Food in Hell's Kitchen
by PasadenaKat at Citysearch
After driving past this restaurant for years, I finally decided to go last weekend for lunch. Boy, was I missing out. I must say, the Thai food is better than Bobaworld/Noodle World. It's just more flavorful and the dishes really stand out. As for the service, the waitress was very friendly and gracious. The only problem was, she was the only person waiting on the entire dining room. I say dining room, because the restaurant looks sort of like someone's dining hall, with tables of four along the walls, and long tables in the middle of the room. They need new high chairs. Oh yes, it seemed like Chef Ramsay was barking up orders in the kitchen, and the one waitress (bless her heart) was running around in "Benny Hill" mode, trying to make everyone happy. Yes, the meal was pricey, the service was fair (amazing enough), but the food was so delish! Try the braised green beans and the House Special (egg noodles with duck). Go during off-peak hours to avoid the "Benny Hill" antics.
- Pros: Food, parking lot, flexible with spices
- Cons: Understaffed, pricey, antiquated high chairs
It use to be good

been a while since I've been to Min's. Went 9/13. Use to love it. Now, it's average. Portions are cut in half. I had to get my own napkins. Service was poor and we were the only ones there at the time. I make Pad Thai at home and mine is better. So disappointed Not worth the price $$
- Pros: Could return to it's roots
- Cons: food is average service poor

Min's - one of the best
by deepestofblue at Citysearch
Excellent food - especially the green curry w/tofu or chicken. The spicy eggplant is to die for... I feel the prices are fair for the area and the quality of food. But, if money is an issue - see the lunch specials... they are a bargain
Small portions
by ccm123 at Citysearch
The last reviewer is absolutely correct. Good food and nice ambiance, but tiny portions
and expensive prices. If you want to spend $50.00 for two people and come away hungry, this is your place. This place also practices "creative" billing on your final bill - beware of inflated bills and flase charges !
- Pros: good food
- Cons: poor value
SO GOOD!!! But.....
by kikaida at Citysearch
The food here is fantastic, some of the best Thai I've had to be sure....However the portion are so small! It's unbelievable how chinsey the portion are, you get an ounce of cooked meat on half a pound of cabbage. My heart breaks every time I think of this place but I can't justify paying $9-$12 for an entree that is barely a portion for one, no matter how good the food. It's just silly, the noodle portions are a bit better and delectable none the less but one does not dine on noodles alone. So it is with a sad heart that I say, avoid this place...Unless you have money to burn and can order one entree per person of each item you desire. If not, you will leave there hungry...and $40+ dollars poorer.
Fluke? I've tried it over half a dozen times over the years.
- Pros: Great food
- Cons: Kate Moss portions, No value at all.

Excellent authentic Thai
by BObermiller_Citysearch at Citysearch
This cozy owner-operated restaurant is worth the drive to La Canada. Simply the best Thai I've had in So Cal. The wonton strips and sauce are wonderful. I had the yellow curry with chicken, potatos and carrots; a beautiful dish with large meat and vegetable chunks bathed in a subtle but spicy curry sauce. My girlfriend had the noodle special plate with vegetables and egg noodles. Both entrees were perfect and the service was prompt and friendly.
- Pros: Excellent food, Good location, Good service
