Best Salon in LA

Okay. I have been to the cream of the crop in Beverly Hills, and to various amazing hair salons in the Los Angeles area. But for some reason, this hidden gem in Pasadena is my absolute favorite salon. Maybe it was because they listened to exactly what I wanted, and executed it perfectly. Maybe it was because I got more compliments on my hair in the first 24 hours of leaving their salon then I've gotten in most of my adult life. Regardless, this place is amazing.

The two stylists I've had the pleasure of being styled by are Nadine and Andrew, for color and blow dry/style. Both of them are really great, and if one isn't available, well... you can pretty much depend on the salon to have amazing stylists in general. I'll be sticking to Nadine or Andrew, and as much as I would rather keep them my own little beauty secret, they deserve the recognition for being awesome.

I haven't tried any of the other salon services yet, and I'll surely update this review if/when I do, but I have the feeling that anything you get from this salon is going to be top notch. It was a blessing for me to have discovered this place!

Great Cut, Great Stylist

Josephine really did a great job on my hair. She's the one to ask for. There really isn't much else to say other than to say that I was pleased with the cut she gave me. She was friendly and courteous the entire time and I never felt out of place.

I loved this salon since the minute I stepped foot in it!

The huge mirrors, the awesome environment, and the friendly faces everywhere... kinda surreal in LA huh? lol.

No I'm serious. I was invited to the salon by a girl named Josephine handing out cards and flyers in Pasadena. BC my hair hasn't been the pinnacle point of my pride, I decided to stroll in during my lunch break. (Make sure that you set up an appt bc they dont take walk ins.) She was prompt, and attentive to exactly what I wanted in a haircut. She even did a quick sketch for me to give me an idea of what it would look like! Pretty impressive if you ask me.

I've gotten ridiculous amounts of compliments from men and women... a little too much?? eh I can take it.

Anyways, bottom line is... Im GOING BACK. And I've found myself a REAL hairstylist.

Great Salon!!!!! Great Stylist, RUTH!!!!

You have to ask for Ruth! I've been going to her for many many years now and followed her everywhere and when she landed here, it's an awesome salon!!! I've never met a such talented hair dresser like Ruth. You tell her what you want and she'll give you her opinion and you go with it. Love the way she cuts, color and styles my hair. Salon Sessions is located in the right spot. Go get your hair done and go shopping after!!! And to top it off everyone there is so friendly and happy all the time. And to top it off they have a great selection of hair products! The best are Bumble and Bumble & Davines.. Love it!!! Love it!!! Love it!!!! Remember ask for RUTH!!!!

Great salon, amazing stylist

I would follow Ria anywhere...

Ria is the best stylist around hands down. I have been going to her for 10 years and her cuts/colors have been perfect every time I have gone to her. I currently live in New York and still fly back for her. She is an amazing colorist. I have very difficult hair that had been messed up countless times before I met her, yet Ria manages to get it right every single time. Her cuts are meticulous - show her a style and she can do it. She is honest enough to let you know if she thinks a certain style or hair color will not work for you, which is really refreshing. She also did my hair for my wedding and I still have people asking me who did my hair.

The salon is clean and very industrial looking, which I really like. It is small enough to feel personal, yet big enough to offer all of the amenities of a top notch salon. All in all, I highly recommend Salon Sessions and Ria.

Who needs there hair done?

Such a quaint salon. It has an awesome atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. They offer refreshments before you get the chance to sit. It has a variety of stylist to cater to your hair whims. Everyone there has a great attitude. It has everything you need while you're getting your hair done..handy vending machine for snacks, reading material, computer access, and movies to entertain you. If you need your hair done and you really have no clue what to do with it...RUTH, is the one to see! She cuts the hair of my boyfriend, family, and most friends. She will have you coming out of the salon with the hairstyle that best fits you. I have known her for over 5 years and I absolutely love her! I have recommended people to her all the time and no one leaves unhappy. She is so skilled in her craft and has been in the industry for a while. She not only does a great job with cuts but is a master when it comes to color as well. She eased me into coloring my virgin hair and now I can't wait to have her try something different with my color. Overall, superb salon and stylist!

The BEST guy to go to...

David Harrington did an AMAZING job with my hair. The color is so gorgeous and natural looking...seriously, I have never had a better head of highlights. I have had 2 people stop me on the street to ask where I got it done. This guy is a totally pro. And so much fun to chat with...I wanted to hang out all day!

Trendiest Salon on the East Side

My experience at Salon Sessions was amazing! Evonne was my stylist. Over the past year I have tried a lot of new places, so at this point of I think I have a good sense of both the good and the bad. I have to admit that my experience at Salon Sessions is one of the best! For starters, the atmosphere is very trendy and fun; they even have an area that they use to do Hollywood photo shoots. As for the crowd, all of the stylists are very diverse and represent a very diverse clientele, including young, old, and all ethnic backgrounds. This is the kind of place anyone would feel comfortable getting their hair done. Their services were also extraordinary! I went for a hair cut and everything was perfect. I received a stress relieving scalp massage prior to my cut and a mimosa (which I never got around to drinking) to enjoy during my cut. I went to the salon hoping to spice up my look, and Evonne helped me pick a new style that worked well with my face structure and hair type (whether it is thick, thin, coarse, straight, or curly). After cutting my hair she showed me how to style my new 'do' and ways to get my hair to better hold curls. I was more than pleased with my experience and I am ecstatic about my new ?do?. I highly recommend both Evonne and the salon.

Beautiful Blonde Hair!

I heard of Salon Sessions from a friend it is a new salon in Pasadena and different from any other salon in Pasadena. I have lived in San Marino all my life and have pretty much been to every salon in the area. Sessions is like a West Side salon, but in Pasadena! The salon itself is done very well. It has an artistic and creative flair that is new and awakening to Pasadena. I visited a celebrity stylist there named Yvonne she made my hair look amazing! She specializes in blonde hair, and she made my hair the perfect shade of blonde. She was actually able to achieve some body in my hair! I would recommend this salon if you like a salon that is on the cutting edge. A little pricey, but well worth it!

Nikko is the best hairstylist, I've ever gone to. I live in San Francisco and I travel to Pasadena so he can color, cut and flat iron my hair. He doesn't just do hair he specializes in doing all types of hair. I sit in his chair and tell him do whatever you think will look good on me...I trust him completely.
