We went to a movie at the Winter Park Village and decided to try Ruth'sChris. We made a reservation for 9:15. Movie ended early so when we arrived it was nice to see they had our table ready for us. I haven't been to Ruth's in over 9 years since they moved from Altamonte Springs. But my wife has been here for dinner meetings and likes it so here we were. We had crab cakes for an appetizer. They were good. The salads were standard caesar. Wife got the filet and shrimp and I got a T-bone. I forgot about the hot hot plates with the sizzling butter but you could hear the sound as the waiter walked up to the table. Both our steaks were cooked as we ordered them and were oh so good. We shared this chocolate concoction with ice cream that wasn't on the menu and it too was good. The room feels like a club. Dark woods but not a dark room if that makes any sense. We sat in a booth which I would recommend. Our waiter recognized my wife from some of the meetings so we got a lot of attention which I thought was very professional. My wife hates meetings but she never seems to miss the dinner meetings when they go to this restaurant. Now I know why.

Pros: It's good

Cons: We enjoyed it

My hubby surprised me with night away from the kids. He knows I love Ruth's Chris but with 3 little ones at home we don't get out as much as we used to. I had to get my steak fix or I was going to go crazy! It's been almost a year since we came here. The steaks were luscious. We had a bottle of something wonderful that our waiter John suggested. John was amazing btw and his excellent service made this night as close to perfect as I'd hoped it would be. The only negative was when we left it was raining and the valet was a little backed up so we had to wait for our car. But other than that, we enjoyed it so very much.

Pros: Service, steaks are wonderful

Cons: valet was a little backed up in the rain

We ate there last night, I had the cowboy rib eye which was a $43 piece of fat and grissle, and my date had the swordfish which was so overcooked and dry to be inedible. Go somewhere else.

Wow!!! Is all I can say this restaurant knows how to do it!!! My wife and I were celebrating our Anniversary and we were treated like ROYALTY our server was fantastic and the food was to die for. I am a steak lover but never had a steak with no need for a knife, simply irresisteble. Dessert was delish we shared the chocolate explosion cake that is exactly as it is described, an explosion of chocolate to your tastebuds. Been to Fleming's and Dels but no longer. Thank you Ruths Chris in Winter Park, David and Chef John for making our night so special. You set the standard when it comes to hospitality.

Pros: All

Cons: None

Had dinner here last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. My son just returned from Iraq and all he could talk about was getting a steak from Ruth's Chris. We had the Porterhouse for 2 and sweet potato casserole. Even had enough left over to take home in a doggy bag. The manager came by and thanked my son for his service to our country. That small gesture made a big impression on my boy. But what made an even bigger impression on me was the creme brulee dessert. Oh my gosh it was good- and this is coming from the King of Custard. Thanks Ruth's Chris.

Pros: Creme Brulee

Cons: None I can think of

I travel more than I'd like and spend alot of time dining out. What's amazing is I always look forward to coming home so my wife and I can go to dinner at Ruth's Chris here in Winter Park-One of if not the best restaurant in orlando. It's the most consistently excellent restaurants I frequent. The beef they serve is as you would expect- top of the line prime. We love the sweet potatoe casserole- never had anything like it anywhere and it's one of those treats you look forward to. My wife is a creme brulee devotee and swears no one does it better. Whenever I need to take clients out and can't risk a subpar experience, I take them here. The service is consistently good and the overall dining experience makes a very strong and positive impression. These folks know what they're doing and they're doing it well.

Pros: Professional service, consistent, the BEST steaks

My wife and I decided to go for my birthday late last year. We made reservations, but still had a long wait. After we were seated, we waited again. Wait for drinks, wait to place our order, wait for our appetizer. Now, I am not an impatient person, however we were flat out abandoned. It soon became apparent that the staff was badly overextended. We waited so long after completing our appetizer, that I finally had to grab one of the busboys going by and have him clear our table. We waited so long the manager refilled our drinks. When we finally got our meals, my steak was gray, I ordered it medium. Oh yeah it was sizzling all right, just overcooked to the point of being destroyed. I guess this is one restaurant that just doesn't live up to the hype.

Pros: good lobster, nice atmosphere

Cons: Wait, wait, wait..., Expensive, Corwded

Been to all of the high end steak houses in Orlando and this one in Winter Park stands out. Tried the sweet potatoe casserole last night and it's out of this world good. The T-bone is huge and my favorite as you get the strip on one side of the bone and filet on the other-2 steaks in one served on a hot sizzling plate. My wife goes bonkers over the tuna but for me when you come here it's for the steak. The waiters know their stuff and the manager even visited our table to help us pick an appropriate wine-let us sample 3 until we found the perfect one we both liked. I appreciate the personal attention to detail. Many so-called "fine dining" restaurants have taken mediocrity to heart and it's refreshing to know that Ruth's Chris makes dining out an experience worth repeating again and again.

Pros: Consistent, Superb steaks, Attentive service

Cons: closed for lunch

Everyone got steak but me and my daughter. The grouper was undercooked like sushi, so I had them cook it more but it was still rubbery. None of the entrees came with a side and everyone wants a different side so the many different $7-9 sides drove up the bill for 4 adults. A 276 bill would have been fine if it were spectacular, but it should have been half that. My favorite part of it all was the apple crumb tart, soo belicious.

Pros: atmosphere, cleanliness

Cons: overpriced

Being a frequent restaurant diner, as well as a steak lover I always seem to leave Ruths Chris happier than when I came in. The steak is superb. The sides are almost family style sized-large enough to share. The service is consistent and the feel of the place is very upscale. We eat out at least 3 nights a week and Ruths Chris has gone from a once a month place for us to once a week! It is that good.

Pros: great steak!, valet parking

Cons: not open for lunch
