I can feel spirit of a baker in this recipe

I see a lot of mixed reviews, but here is my experience. We when out for breakfast on sunday morning. What a beautiful day for a patio, quiet and relax atmosphere surrounded by gorgeous architecture. I absolutely was amazed by service of our waiter Robert, from the way how he introduces menu special I was even more hungry. Fallowing his advise on cappuccino I could not be more happier, fluffy foam with large bubbles looks so good I had to take a picture, its was even better than I thought. I ordered "Uova Alla Benedettina e Polpa Di Granchio" ( oh boy there is whole recipe in this name :) It's a master pice of creative layers of goodness. BOOM! And not to forget best bread ever, I grow up on fresh bread like that. Perfect crust and fluffy dough mixed with olives, I can feel spirit of a baker in this recipe.

Great deal

Just went for a quick lunch there and decided on the Vegetable Pizza from the cafe section. For $6.99 I got a delicious, thin crust, burnt in the right places, fresh tasting, perfectly individually-sized (for a big eater like me) pizza with lots of gooey cheese, grilled artichoke hearts, eggplant, zucchini, onions and tomatoes. Great deal for Old Town Pasadena!

Always a great experience

I've been coming to this Il Fornaio for years and it's always a great experience. The menu changes from time to time but the food is always great!

Great service

The service there is great, I dont mind waiting a few minutes because it's always so busy there, if all the tables are packed the patio there is very lovely

Best butter cookies, which happen to be my favourite!

It seems every time I go there, I get the same cashier, I believe her name is Jean. She is always very nice and delightful!

Wish I lived closer

We were at the Pasadena il Fornaio over the memorial day weekend and had an amazing dinner. Our server went out of his way to accomodate our food sensitivities. They have an extensive wine list which we found to be right up our alley. Great Italian wines you can sometimes only find in Italy. Our meal from appetizer to dessert was excellent. Wish I lived closer to this location. I'll try more Il Fornaios because of this experience.

Really nice restaurant

Really nice restaurant, has good Italian food. Chicken, fried calamari and the pizza there is amazing. And they have a great dessert menu!

comfortable, consistent dinning experience.

I am from the Bay Area, so when i come to L A i always make sure that stop in Il Fornaio for a comfortable, consistent dinning experience. Makes me feel like I'm still in Palo Alto.
