I went through the drive-thru which actually seemed alot slower than walking to the window so I would park if I were actually in a hurry. I ordered the african burrito which includes a mixture of beans and salsas in a wheat tortillas. Not the Most flavorful thing I have ever had but still pretty good, healthy and fulfuilling, and you cant beat the prices for such food. I can't wait to come back and try their veggie burger varieties which I have heard alot about. Definitely beats the other fast food!
Fulfilling Veggie Burgers, Tasty 'Air' Fries, Variety of Healthy Foods RIGHT DAB in the middle of KFC BK ROSCO'S ... right on!

This place is a treat. I've had just about everything on the menu. I especially love the 'Orean Salad Burger', gets nice and messy with vegan 'thousand island' like dressing. Its big and burly with sprouts and lots of veggies. I always order extra sauce to dip the crispy baked fries in. I've chatted with Orean, man is always on the go, very activist like energy, hard working establishment. 'Props' to the two women that make and serve all the food... with lines 20 people deep, I still got my hearty 'meal' of a burger in less than 10, piping hot. Good peanut butter shake ... all vegan, natural colas made with pure cane sugar and green juice blend. Theres a drive-thru, good breakfast treats, majority of the menu- tofu, soy-based stuff, too too much may not sit so well. For a quick fix on the nutritionally sound side pop in... its right next to the Burger King and right across from the grease shack aka KFC. There's definetly potential for growth.. lets hope a few more open up around LA! Keep up the sabby-style, wholesome food service.
- Pros: 10 $ gets a nice meal, tasty vegetarian treats galore... this place is worth stopping in
Moderately priced vegetarian fast food in a neighborhood of corporate greasy spoons.

In Short
Teenagers swarm the walkup window and monopolize the restaurant's lone outdoor table, while BMWs and SUVs queue for drive-thru service. In lieu of meat, the burgers, burritos and pizza are made with creative tofu blends. Tacos are filled with mock chicken and onions, the chili dog is covered in beans and relish, and the popular African burrito is a combination of black-eyed peas, pinto beans and salsa. Soy shake flavors include vanilla, carob and strawberry.

This is the best place to eat in LA area, even for people who are not vegetarians. The food is very non-greasy nor cheesy, top quality ingredients, fresh and creative tasty recipes. So much fresher and state-of-arts cuicine than expensive restaurants on sunset! It's got very good price, too. The african burrito is my favorite!
PROS: Fresh, varieties, tasty, healthy, fast and cheap.
CONS: the sign is a bit difficult to find, just locate the McDonald across st.
Salad Burger!

I went for the second time today. On my previous visit, I had the Chicken Burger, which has a big ol' piece of crispy "chicken" (I think fried probably), sprouts, tomatoes, blah blah.. and it was majorly filling... maybe a little too filling. Tasted incredibly good, though. Today I had the Salad Burger and thought it was delicious. Definitely not as heavy as the Chicken Burger, but it kept me satisfied. I don't know what types of veggies they put in that patty, but it sure was awesome. A note about others' comments on slow service: My friend and I both got our food very quickly at the walk up today. Then again, it was a Monday and there weren't other customers, so that could be why. Anyways, I will be going back again and again.. and I live not all that close in K-Town. I wish they had one closer to me for days when I don't feel like cooking after work. I think an eatery of their kind would do very well in the Silver Lake area (in case you're reading business owners. ) :)

OK, you shouldn't expect gourmet at a fast food place, just good fast food! And Orean's is it. I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but I'm just glad that there's an alternative. The few times that I've eaten here were great. Give it a try!
- Pros: Healthy Fast Food

The idea of a veggie fast food is great and long overdue BUT they need to rethink their business plan. There is no where to sit down and eat. The drive thru intercom wasn't working properly. We tried the chili burger and the cheese burger, two orders of fries and two drinks. The fries were mushy and gross. The veggie burgers were mushy as well and they put WAY too many sprouts on the burger and hardly anything else. We wanted to try a vegan shake but they weren't making shakes the night we went. The cups were styrofoam, not very ecofriendly. I think the ONLY reason this place is staying in business is simply because of the drive thru...because the food certainly isn't bringing people back. I would suggest staying home and grilling a GardenBurger and baking some fries yourself, it will probably taste better!!
- Pros: Veggie friendly, Drive thru, Natural Foods/Sodas
- Cons: Mushy Fries, Mushy Veggie Burgers, Building Appearance
Good vegetarian food

I wouldn't call the food gourmet, but it is really good and satisfying. Some of my favorites are the African tostada, Hot-O-Dog (WITHOUT the mayo!), pollo burrito, Orean burger and the air fries. A warning to vegans: the soy cheese may contain casein.
There really isn't anything fast about this "fast food" restaurant. If more than one person has already ordered in front of you, be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes to get your food. Also, the service seems to be friendlier on weekdays.
Despite these shortcomings, I like the food and am glad this restaurant exists, especially since there aren't any other vegetarian restaurants in Pasadena.
- Pros: Inexpensive, Parking lot
- Cons: Service can be slow, not enough seating, cash only
Hooray For Authentic Vegie Philly Sandwich!

Hi, I just wanted to say that they are serving the Vegetarian Philly with faux beef, onions, peppers, soy cheese now. (This dish hadn't been available in my previous visits until a couple of months ago or so). This is a sandwich to die for--so overstuffed that you need a fork to eat much of it and great tasting, too. Especially noteworthy is this is the first time I had vegetarian au-jus--tastes just like the real thing! What an accomplishment! There other food is excellent too, except for maybe the falafel which I remember as too dry, but I haven't had it lately because I can't tear myself away from the vegie philly!
- Pros: Huge portions, Inexpensive, Vegie Drive-Thru!
- Cons: Not enough seating, Drink sizes too small, not open late hours
Fast Food for Vegeterians...Yea

Orean has one of two of the best Vegeterian resturantes for fast food in Southern California.. I have been going to Orean for over 20 years when he had his first location. If you love BBQ then you must try the Orean Chip Burger. It is a blend of perfect bBQ sauce and Textures Vegetable Protein have w/or without soy cheese. You will have to order two because you will want another later....I have had conversations through the years with the owner and he is passionate about giving the community an alternative to eating meat. I have been a vegeterian all of my life and this is the kind of food I grew up eating...He does a close job to mamas cooking...moms kitchen is always the best...My mom two loved the Chip Burger when I took her...
- Pros: EXCELLENT, VALUE, FRIENDLY
- Cons: TO FAR AWAY, TO FAR AWAY, TO FAR AWAY
