Not sure where those guys got their cars washed? Pasadena car was is just another car wash, with a nice waiting area (leather sofas, cookies, pretzels) that you pay for in the price. Probably the most expensive car wash in the area. Took my car in there and they put the wrong type gas in, (specifically said 89 octane) lucky for them it started. They are professional and its very clean. I guess for the Pasadena Snob Society its the place to get your bently groomed. You can get just a good a wash if you shop around.

  • Pros: free cookies, comfortable sofas, free pretzels
  • Cons: expensive, can be careless, no big deal

Pasadena Car Wash - Scratched my Car and told me to get out

by SS1010

*****Scratched my car and will not fix it****DO NOT GO TO THIS CARWASH!!! I took my car to the Car Wash today…they aren't the best but better than other options...I always had to do an extra wipe down (would ask for a rag and do it myself) sometimes have to take it back the vacuum area and vacuum the spot they missed. Couple times I did complained because it was really bad but like I said before....better then my other options in the area. Today I was waiting for my car and noticed that the guy kept wiping down, wiping it down and at one point notice the manager look at my car and radio the other manager...I thought it was something about the car next to me…finally after the 30th wipe down it was ready. I walked over and notice scratches ALL over my car. I called it to the manager attention (the one who looked at it before) and he said "what year is this car?" (FYI it is a newer 5 Series BMW) I said "What! are you kidding me?" Those scratches were not on my car when I came in...bottom-line. The GM came over and told me to bring it over to the detail area....where he had a couple guys try to wax it....the scratches where less but still there. I said to the GM that they were still there....they need to make this right. He came back with 'you always complain...this is all we are going to do and take your business elsewhere' I asked to speak to the owner and he refused to give me the number or call him. Told me to get out or he would call the cops and walked away. When I tried calling the office inside she claimed she did not know the owners name or number and put me on hold and never came back. I approached the GM and he said get out of here or I am going to call the cops or child services. I told him I needed the owners full name...all he would give me before was Shloroy and no number and told me to call the office. I tried to explain I did call and she said I had to talk to him. He kept threatening me over and over, got in my face yelling. I could not believe the ridiculous behavior and figured I will find the owner online. I was able to save a fellow BMW owner from the damage by telling him what had just happened...thank goodness he left. They need to make this right....I am so sick of people getting away with things they know are wrong. DO NOT GO TO THIS CARWASH. If you know the owners contact information...please let me know.

working things out

by lkuobn

After an unfortunate incident at the car wash where our back window was completely shattered, we are working out the details of how they will go about paying for the repairs. We are hoping for an agreeable outcome for both parties.

this is it

I will drive miles out of my way to go to this car wash!!! One of my girlfriends swears by it too. I have a ding in my door (thanks to a huge truck at Dodger Stadium!) and one of the times I went there to get it washed, the "finish" guy took the extra time and effort to try to get the rest of the paint off of the ding! Incredible. I even wrote a letter to the owner to say how much I appreciated this guy going above and beyond. Now I can tell everyone how wonderful they are there!! Try it for yourself. :)

NO attention to detail

by jmcphersonmd

this place does a decent job on regular washes. You have to carefully inspect the car before you drive it off to make sure that it is done right. I paid $90 dollars for a hand wash and wax and leather treatment and was very dissappointed in the wash. The was no glossy finish and insect debris remained on the front. The supervisor tried to tell me that there was a problem with the paint on this relatively new black Porsche. That was a waste of money. Like anything, you have to stay on top of the guys actually doing the work.

Simply the best

by groknix

For regular car washes, this place is the best I have been to in the Pasadena area. And with all the Jaguars, BMWs and other luxury cars being attended to, I would say I am not the only one who agrees. The waiting area is air conditioned and has large leather couches and chairs with plenty of reading material. The price is low considering the speed and quality of service, and only several dollars more than some other places I have been. I also had a 92 Jeep Wrangler detailed here, and while it didn't look like it rolled off the showroom floor, it was worth the $250 paid.

My favorite carwash place

by jaepu

Pasadena Auto Wash is the best carwash I've seen in the area. Very clean, comfortable waiting area/shop stocked with free coffee and cookies. You can also get basic service done on your car, such as oil or transmission fluid changes. Great attention to detail, and competitive prices. Highly recommended.
