Not very good. Rice is not fresh and shrimp is not in the right sauce.
So yummy!!

Panda Inn is one of my favorites, much much much much better than Panda Express! I would recommend the honey walnut shrimp and the combo lo-mein. Their brown rice is also very tasty. :)
The only downside in my opinion is that they serve Pepsi instead of Coke. :(
- Pros: Everything is delicious, the wait staff is very nice, the fortune cookies are dipped in chocolate
- Cons: Pepsi instead of Coke
So yummy!!

Panda In is always Great!!!

One of my favorite restaurants of all time, reasonably priced. The bartender Gus is one of a kind. The Sunday Brunch is just over $20 and offers everything on the regualr menu plus two drinks. Check it out
- Pros: Free parking and a great drink
- Cons: Try to get a booth, avoid the tables
Reliable--if safe--Mandarin cuisine in a chain-designed setting.

The Scene
Filled with families with grandparents in tow, this brightly lit chain is not the place for a romantic encounter. Nonetheless, with bustling servers, speedy yet courteous service and spare, geometric decor, the Panda Inn is pleasant for a quick meal.
The Food
While predictable standards such as sweet-and-sour shrimp, beef with broccoli and chow mein dominate the menu, steer clear of those choices for a more satisfying meal. Vegetarian moo shu is prepared tableside: The server spoons a steaming mixture of bean sprouts, shredded carrots, mushrooms, water chestnuts and scrambled egg into a paper-thin pancake, drizzles it with hoisin sauce and rolls it up for you. Honey walnut shrimp is packed with flavor, the succulent crustaceans glazed with a mayonnaise-based sauce with an orange-citrus tang. A specialty, the orange roughy in black bean sauce is hearty, but not as spicy as the menu claims. Ditto the sauce-deficient crispy garlic chicken.

My parents have been taking me here since I was a kid. Their food is incredibly consistent and very tasty. I would definitely come back!

Went there for lunch with some co-workers. The food was typical chinese food, similar to P.F. Changs. If you are looking for something real authetic this is not a place to go.
go somewhere else for REAL Chinese food.

First off, I am pure-bred Cantonese, and I've spent more than 1/2 of my life in the city of Canton--so I am biased. This is my in-laws' favorite restaurant, but personally, I'd prefer Chinese food with more of a punch in flavor and smell. For authentic Chinese at a much lower price tag, go somewhere else in Monterey Park.
- Pros: Ambience, Parking, Good-looking dishes
- Cons: Price, Bland food
One of the best Chinese restaurants in L.A.

Yes, as one reviewer mentioned, this isn't the most authentic Chinese restaurant out there - it is quite americanized, very much like P.F. Chang's. However, if you like this type of Chinese restaurant - and I do - Panda is the king. The food is amazing - I recommend the Panda beef, sweet and pungent chicken, and orange chicken. I have eaten everything on the menu and almost everything is good. Service is usually attentive and friendly; only a few times have I received poor service. Portions are generous, and the fortune cookies are even awesome (chocolate dipped). I have taken every family member, friend, and relative that has ever visited me to Panda and every single one of them loved it. I recommend Panda to everyone; it is stellar in almost every respect. I go there once a week on average, and always will.
- Pros: Reasonably priced, Panda beef is amazing, Best fortune cookies
Awesome experience

Chinese food is Chinese food - it's supposed to be oily and greasy. If you want it real, that's the way it's gotta be. In any case, this is not an all-out Chinese food place. Definitely upscaled for the American population, yet the food is worth it! Before I went, I was thinking - upscale Panda Express: hellz no! Actually, their food is tasty - even for someone like me who doesn't eat fast food "Chinese." Portions are very generous as well. Service is good - not too in our face, yet available when we needed. Price is worth the up-scaled enviornment.
