Different Flavors
by panchamora at Citysearch
I was kinda weary ordering here...Im used to my basic pepperoni pizza and so was kinda nervous at the different pizzas they offered...barbeque and corn or peanuts in my pizza!?! But the waitress was very nice and since it was our first time, kept making sure we were satisfied and emphasized that if we weren't, she could take it back and bring back another selection...I ordered the Thai and it was pretty good, different but delicious..
- Pros: If you dont like something, they're glad to bring you something else
- Cons: pizzas kinda small if you have a large group
Watch your pie bake in a wood-fired oven at this national chain with global culinary influences.

In Short
Founded in Beverly Hills in 1985, these eateries with the trademark yellow, black and white color scheme have spread nationwide. The decor consists of simple wood and glass with roomy black leather booths. The thin-crust pizzas come with innovative toppings from Asia, Latin America and the Southwest; signature pizzas like the Original BBQ Chicken and Jamaican Jerk Chicken compete with old standbys like pepperoni and traditional cheese. Pastas, salads, soups and sandwiches round out the menu.
Just another trendy pizza gimick

Yes, there are a bazillion CPK restaurants all over the Southland. Have I been to them all...no. Do I want to go to them all...not in this lifetime. Do they make good pizza? I guess so. Do I sound less than enthusiastic about CPK...uuhhh YEAH...DUH. Anyway...I guess I'm just a pizza purist. I prefer a simple thin crust pizza with cheese, some tomato, basil, and sausage. No BBQ sauce on my pizza. No Thai peanut sauce. Yes, I know CPK has a margherita-type pizza. The fact that the tomato/basil/mozarella pizza is NEW on their menu is just BIZARRE to me. To me...I'm just paying too much money for a "gourmet" pizza.

Beautiful surrounding, Decent Food

This CPK has the prettiest view of downtown Glendale. Well some of it. The atmosphere is nice, and the waitstaff are friendly, fast, and on point. I've always had a wonderful dining experience here. the food is pretty decent. I'll say that some of the pizzas are bland. One of the better pizzas is the Original Barbeque Chicken Pizza. The Wild Mushroom, Traditional, Pepperoni, and Five-Cheese & Fresh Tomato pizzas are pretty bland. For the pastas, any one of them are delicious. Park just off of Broadway and keep your ticket, CPK will validate.
- Pros: Great Location, Friendly Waitstaff, Parking Validation
- Cons: Some Pizzas are bland
