what a friendly experience at midas glendale. i entered this huge shop and immediately the manager i think his name was yuri greeted me outside in the parking lot and made me feel very welcome. my car has been shaking for a long time and this other repair facility told me that i needed brand new brakes front and back but it was upward to 700 dollars which was way too expensive for me at the time. something about this other shop i didnt feel comfortable with so i was highly recommended midas by a friend. i spoke with yuri and he offered me a free brake check which was nice of him. such a pleasant person to deal with i tell you. once they looked at my brakes yuri took the liberty to be honest with me and told me that my brakes were actually in excellent condition and did not need replacement. i asked him at that time what my options were to take the shaking away because it was driving me crazy. he told me that for my particular car, its common to happen when the wheels are not balanced. he balanced my wheels, charged me 40 dollars and i promise the problem went away. i called him the following day and thanked him for being honest with me. he definetly earned my business. GO SEE YURI AT MIDAS OF GLENDALE, HE'S GREAT AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. oh and did i mention, the waiting area was awesome...i guess they re-painted the entire shop and made it so nice. they had coffee and cookies with a tv and a radio playin kbig 104 which i love. the couches are so comfortable. what an awesome experience at a repair shop wow. i highly recommend this place. super. i think they have a life-time warranty on all their parts as well.
- Pros: CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PROFESSIONALISM
- Cons: TOOK AN HOUR LONGER THAN IT SHOULD HAVE
Ripped off??

This is my first review ever. I recently got my alternator replaced and had an oil change. Yuri was nice, but I'm not sure that they gave me an honest price. It cost $535 for the alternator. After I paid, I did some research and found that the average cost for such a repair is around $200 - $400. I really think I got ripped off. Yuri could tell that I don't know anything about cars and took advantage. He told me that he took off the tax for me, but why would he do that? Because he knows that he's already getting plenty of extra money from me and taking off the tax sounds like he helping me out. I also noticed that almost all of the good reviews written here are most likely written by this Midas shop. Notice how each reviewer has only written one review (I will be writing more in the future). Most reviewers tend to write more than one. I will give 2 stars because they finished ripping me off in one day, so I was able to drive to work the next Monday. Keep in mind that this review is speculative.
- Pros: Timely
- Cons: Price

The BEST Car Place in Town

The customer service at this auto shop was amazing! The manager and mechanics explained every detail about the problems I was having with my car and their suggestions. The place was so reasonable and did not overcharge me at all! My car has been working amazing and I have already referred some friends from school who are all extremely pleased with the shop. I would highly recommend this MIDAS for any car problems, towing, oil changes, or engine issues. After a lot of searching and driving to other shops nearby, I would definiteley recommend this place over any other!
- Pros: AMAZING auto service, honest, reasonable, professional people!
- Cons: NONE

I know very little about cars and always feel like I'm being taken advantage of. I have been to other Midas shops around Los Angeles for brake repair and this one is far superior to the others. Yuri, my contact, was courteous and honest about what I needed and didn't try to "sell" me to make more profit. It was a great experience and I highly recommend this store.
Good service - would recommend to anyone in the Glendale / Pasadena area

Excellent service and honest evaluation of the kind of work that needed to be done on the car. For the same exact servicing, the Pasadena Midas quoted me $1,100 to $1,300 over the phone. Yuri got it done for about half that amount.
Overall excellent shop, I'll be returning for all future works related to my car in future.

A few weeks ago, the unfortunate grinding sound coming from the right/front of my car told me I needed a brake job -- and fast, because I was leaving on a 3 hour drive down to the Mexican border. It was early Saturday morning, my usual car repair guy was in a distant part of town, wouldn't be in until 10am anyway, and always made me wait endless hours (is it because my rusty ol' Mazda is low on the automotive food chain?). I went online and began reading reviews about Midas Muffler in Glendale, and this great guy Yuri, who everyone seemed to love. I decided to try Yuri. Well, the other reviewers didn't lie -- Yuri was smart, fast and friendly. Yuri's family took over the business some months back, and it shows -- he manages the shop with care, integrity and a real dedication to customer service. When I asked Yuri where I could catch breakfast while waiting, he directed me to Foxy's, a tasty coffee shop within walking distance. I don't want any more car problems, but if they crop up, Yuri's the guy I'm going to.
- Pros: reassuring, friendly, fast, honest
- Cons: none
