No Garnish for me!
by talkytina
Upon a friend's suggestion, I decided to check out Paladino's for one of their weekend shows back in November. The music was too loud, the bands were sub par, certainly not as great as the hype was. The worst part? The lime in my Stoli was MUSHY! Gross! I asked For another lime, and the bartender had to literally look through all of the limes to find one that wasn't disgusting. Ladies and Gentlmen...Avoid the fruit! And god knows what else is spoiled back there.
- Pros: easy valley location
- Cons: needs a facelift
Cool Bands
by thalab45
Cool spot for bands, I just wish they had a club night. I am sure they could generate a local crowd to dance there since there is no other places to go to. Yankee's is closed, someone should take advantage.
- Pros: Great Sound Huge Spot Great bands
- Cons: No Live DJ to dance. this place has room for it.
Headbangers have a ball at this Valley music venue committed to revitalizing the rock scene.

In Short
Rock is rolling again at back-to-the-basics venues like Paladino's, which bypass trends in favor of a simpler time when the music was loud, parties were hardy, and the beer was always cold. A crunching sound system keeps the audience's attention on the stage. An ample amount of seats and chairs lie in between a bar and a cozy VIP section. The sports bar area in front has another bar as well as televisions, pool tables, darts, video games and a jukebox.
nice and loud dive bar with a little swagger

I've been there several times to catch mostly tribute bands which were always very good (assuming you like that sort of thing). They are proud of their drinks (based on the price). Good sound system, and only occaisionally a bit too loud. Typically you can arrive around 10 and still have a good spot to see the stage.
I caught wind of the Foo Fighters playing an impromptu show which was a real treat. Dave Grohl mingled with the crowd before they went on; very cool.
Have a drink or two before you go, dress casual, and see some live music.
- Pros: Good sound, Laid back crowd, Cute bartenders
- Cons: Drink prices
How do these headbangers afford this place?
by screwflanders138
I went there a few years back to see Dr. Know and DI; two beloved punk bands that I couldn't believe were playing just blocks from my apartment. Most punk shows are cheap and the drinks affordable, because hey; punk rock isn't about $20 cover charges and $10 beers. This is Reseda, not freaking Hollywood. Unfortunately we were wrong. I ordered a Budweiser and got a small plastic cup full of beer that cost $7. I can buy a whole six pack and drink it in the parking lot for two dollars less! The bartenders were cordial enough but sort of stuck up. There were a group of jerks standing outside who couldn't just let a girl have a smoke without a hassle. No security to help us out ladies, so beware. I love a good dive, but dive bar should not necessarily equal jarhead town.
- Pros: fair parking
- Cons: same crappy bands, expensive
Cool Club

Went there a few nights ago and saw my friend's band perform. The stage set up & sound system is great. I'd suggest to wait until after 9:00 to go, that's when it seems like everyone shows up. I'd definitely go again if they had a band playing that I wanted to see.
- Pros: Comfort, Lots of Cover Bands, See - New talent
- Cons: 21 & over "ONLY", Parking-usually full, No pool tables
