Expensive Night Out

This Club has become too Commercial. Expensive, and even if it's spacious it's crowded you can only imagine the line. If you come in a large group (like I did) prepare to get lost either that or take GPS's to the club, lol. Drinks are ridiculously expensive, the crowd is a nice crowd, hardly any uglies and the people are diverse. The rooms are nice, so is the website and the music. I guess they got that all from over charging. I don't know if the Mayan is Worth it.

A Hollywood institution

This Club is lame. There is nothing cool or fun about it.

The Crowd is bad, you hardly see any good looking people, the Cover Charge is way too expensive for a cheesy club, and the staff is unfriendly.

I will never go back to this club not even if my entrance was free!

Don't go here

I cannot stand the Mayan... Too dark, too much fog, music is too too loud, the dance floor is terrible, it's such a pick up joint rather than a dance club, not the greatest neighborhood, and too pricey for all the above. By the time you pay for parking, the cover, coat check, a couple drinks, forget it!

The famed Alex da Silva teaches there Saturday nights, and that's not worth it either. His jokes are always the same, his moves don't change, his attitude... well, let's not go there, I've said enough.

Best Dance club in LA.

Great night club, has huge hall for salsa, and 2 other rooms ( hip hop) They also have lots of live music too. Great dancers, nice atmosphere and not too pricey at $15 when I went. The women are usually very beautiful, and they have some serious dancers there. If your looking for a great LA club experience this would be it. Hope that helps.

Crumbling club

The Mayan is one of the premiere late night club destinations though I really don't understand why. It's large but the whole place seems like it's falling apart. The crowds are far too into themselves. Service staff never make eye contact. The sound system and lighting are good however, I'll give it that. But the long drive downtown is too much trouble.

Latin music and dancing all night long!

The Mayan is a great salsa and latin dance club in downtown LA. The music keeps you dancing all night long while the drinks are moderately priced and made just right. There are tons of people all there to have a good time. The main dance floor is huge while the other floors are quite smaller. There are plenty of places to sit and for you smokers, the outside area is quite large.

• Cons: parking lots charge $8-$10

Extravagant!!!

Everything you want in a latin club it's there. It's Huge, Multifloored with muliple rooms and the crowd is sufficient. Diverse music from Latin, Spanish Rock and some hip-hop and old skool. Service is Average. Evrybody likes this club you can't complain
