Best Yogurt in the Valley

by angelicfaeree at Citysearch

My boyfriend and I were looking for a sweet treat and wanted something out of the ordinary. We decided to try Humphrey's and wow it definitely was the treat we were looking for! There are past reviews that said the menu is confusing. While the menu has a lot of things on it, I would not call it confusing by any means. The people working were more than willing to help us since it was our first time. You can make your own combination..and they have a wide variety of toppings. If you love frozen yogurt and you are in Sherman Oaks, this is the place to go!

Addictive stuff!

by sixftcutie at Citysearch

Love Love Love these people! I'm from NY and went out to LA to visit my best friend. Right before I left for the airport we stopped by Humphrey for a sugar dinner. :) What a treat! My best friend always gets the child's portion carbo light flavor combos but since it was my first time there I went for the nice adult sized portion. I had that great buzz in the back of my neck from a sugar rush all the way to the plane. I'll definitely be back!

Yummy Yogurt

by janaschreiber8 at Citysearch

This is one of those valley staples for sweet-toothed citizens. The place is cute and quaint, and usually very crowded at night- but the fantastic frozen treat thought up by you made for you is worth the wait!

If Dairy Queen's famous "blizzard" dessert--made of ice cream and candy mix-ins--got a healthy makeover, this friendly shop's creations would be the result.

by Ali Dubrow at Citysearch

In Short
You won't find Bogart getting his fro-yo fix here, but that doesn't mean you can't. This relaxed place has both ice cream and frozen yogurt, making it a neutral stomping grounds for two distinct dessert palates. Frozen yogurt varies from fat-free to sugar-free, and comes in three consistent nonfat flavors--tart, vanilla and chocolate--which may be mixed with a wide variety of candy bars, fudge, fruit and nuts. Customers choose their yogurt base, then choose their mix-ins, creating a unique and often original flavor of their choice. Those wishing to extend beyond yogurt can also shop for a variety of health food in the cluttered yet homey store, which offers everything from nutrition bars to calorie-free salad dressings.

Hits: The wide variety of choices and the ability to create your own dessert keeps customers coming back for more. The unpretentious vibe makes this store the antithesis to the more modern Pinkberrys of the world.

Misses: The store itself is visual chaos with healthy products scattered throughout and little sign of organization.

A healtheir Coldstone. How refreshing.

by abd1350 at Citysearch

First of all, I just figured out the pun behind the name of this place, haha. It's really adorable - it's like the Coldstone Creamery of frozen yogurt - you pick your flavor, pick your mix-in (there are many), and they make a little creation for you that is fat free and low calorie. It's a bit far from my house, so I do not go there often, but when I do, I am always satisfied. They also have a mini market with lots of healthy items, like dressings, snacks and stuff like that. If you're into frozen yogurt (or even if you're not), this is a really great place to get dessert.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST YOGURT IN THE WORLD.

by lguilian at Citysearch

I used to live in Sherman Oaks and was addicted to Humphrey Yogart's. Now that I live in northern California whenever I come to the LA area, Humphrey's is on the agenda. YOU MUST GO THERE!!!! You can have any flavor yogurt you want. Lots of choices and combos. Kind of like Cold Stones only much better, and no one plays with your food.

  • Pros: best yogurt
  • Cons: too far from northern California

carbolight!

by cdisip at Citysearch

It's always hard to find carbolight, but this place has a pretty good selection. they've got a similar concept as 21 choices in pasadena, but they work off of two flavors and then you add your mix-ins. They also have the pinkberry-style flavors of plain and green tea.

My favorite yogurt in the world!

by dpnu35 at Citysearch

I love this place. Their soy ice cream is amazing when mixed with anything for you vegans/lactose intolerant ones. Excellent mix-ins (you can even bring your own as long as the packaging is still sealed) and every 11th yogart is free! Woo-hoo! More affordable than Pinkberry, shorter lines, and less trendy...

  • Pros: Soy ice cream, great selection of mix-ins
  • Cons: They don't stay open late enough!

good but not great!

by maryjan83 at Citysearch

If you like yogurt and topping combinations mixed all together by a machine then this is the place for you. I myself didn't really like it. It was way too sweet and not very much appealing. If you're on a diet then I wouldn't recommend it. Also they should change the look of the shop. It looked too dark and not appealing for a yogurt shop. It was boring, my yogurt was all drupie and saugie. It's like a wannabe of coldstone but it's yogurt instead of ice cream and they mix it with a machine instead of by hand. I've only been there once and I don't think I'm dying to go again. If I happen to be at Solley's having dinner, I might....might stop in and attempt to try it again after dinner. But then again, there's billions of other amazing yogurt shops around the area so why bother drinking my yogurt when I prefer eating it?

  • Pros: Conveniently located next to Solley's Diner, cool employees
  • Cons: bad droopie yogurt, wannabe colstone concept
