OK Where do I begin I have been working at Juvenile Shop since 1977 I am 3rd generation in our business and it upsets me to read these reviews. I am so sorry to anyone who has not gotten fabulous customer service in our store. Please let me know if you have a complaint I am always willing to listen even if the complaint is about me.We stake our reputation on great customer service and try to go the extra mile for people at all times. Call me 818-986-6214 or email me lauren@juvenileshop I always want to know what is going on. Thanks for listening. Lauren Logan owner Juvenile Shop
Seriously, the absolute worst customer service
by billie2005 at Citysearch
Why are these people working here? I am truly amazed at the lack of customer service here. Not only could everyone in the store care less, but they are incredibly rude. I had asked if they carried a certain crib sheet and they could barely bring themselves to look up to answer my question. All of the staff seems annoyed to be there and annoyed by customers in general. This wasn't just with me, this was also with other customers in the store. I don't understand how this place is still in business. For their prices, you would think they could at least maybe, fake a smile? Say thank you? How about looking you in the eye when you're speaking to them. This is all too much for the people who work at this place. Please don't support this store, when there are sooo many other great stores in the area.
- Pros: Location
- Cons: Extremely rude staff, fairly expensive, terrible atmosphere
Rude, irresponsible, worst store I have EVER experienced

I expected more from this store. They lost my package, acted like it was MY fault. I asked them for the tracking number, they said "we don't do that". They didn't contact me when I asked if they could try and find my purchase. They had promised to contact me, but failed to do so. I had to call them back but by that time they had made decisions without my knowledge that I did not agree with. They never took responsibility, and they were pretty rude though out this entire process.
Never never shop here.
- Pros: nice merchandise
- Cons: Overpriced, rude, irresponsible. They lost my order and did not call me back.
Horrible Customer Service

I went here looking for a Fisher Price Bassinet. Little did I know that this overly-priced store doesn't carry Fisher Price because its "cheap" & made in China as the sales associate told me. "They only carry European brands." I could not believe how truly rude she was when I was still talking to her & she had already walked away. I guess she realized she wasn't going to make a sale with someone who buys "cheap" baby products!!! I will NEVER go there again or reccommend going there, no matter how nice their products are!
This store is terrible for customer service-shop elsewhere.

This is a high-end store that charges a premium and you get nothing in return. Lisa is the only pleasant/competent person in the shop, but it is hard to get to her because she is busy. I purchased more than $5000 worth of furniture(and other items) from this store, and I cannot tell you how rude the staff was to me. Particularly, the other older woman running the store is so not afraid to be rude and unhelpful all the while knowing how much money you are spending. When I called to find out when my furniture could be delivered, she basically refused to help me and said it would take more than a day to find out because she needed to help people in the store. Funny, when I was in the store, it was likewise hard to get any help from that same woman. She did not want to let me talk to the owner who I always tried to deal with because she at least had some sense of civilized behavior. The staff is so not afraid to be lazy and rude to customers that have spent huge amounts of money in that store. Why bother with this store-you can over-spend on nice stuff elsewhere and get better customer service, or at the very least have a pleasant experience. Who needs to be treated like that when you are pregnant of all times!
- Pros: High end furniture/goods
- Cons: Goods are charged at premium, Rude, lazy staff-among the worst customer service I have ever encountered.
OVERPRICED, RUDE STAFF & MANAGEMENT, GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO SOMEBODY WHO DESERVES IT !

It's really too bad that this store's customer service is so lacking. Not only are they rude, and act put-out to have to wait on you, but the items are really overpriced. They really just act like they can't be bothered to assist you or answer any questions. Pretty nervy, considering how much they charge for their stuff !
To be fair, they do have some nice, higher-end brands (Splendid, Kissy-Kissy, etc...) and a great selection of diaper bags. However, the mark-up is ridiculous. For example, I bought a darling nightgown for my baby that I just couldn't resist, and paid $52 for it. I looked at the store online (www.featherbaby) and the same gown was $26 !!!!!
The store manager is particularly rude, never even says thank you after your purchase. Most baby stores are fun, friendly, and they pay attention to your baby, etc....NOT here. I have been here on three different occasions, hoping maybe it was an "off day" and wanted to give them another chance, but had the same experience each time.
If you want a fun, smaller, clothing boutique that's not nearly as pricey, try Paulina Quintana in Silver Lake. Their stuff is darling, made here, and the staff are great. Additonally, Nked Baby in Studio City is great as well, and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful.
- Pros: Nice selection of higher-end clothing, diaper bags, strollers
- Cons: Extremely rude management and staff, no customer service whatsoever
Not to be confused with juvenile hall, this store has decor worthy of any stylish newborn.

In Short
This is the store where upper-crust parents can tailor baby's entire bedroom. Pregnant mothers and daddies-to-be roam the aisles choosing furniture, crib sets, gliders, strollers, high chairs and more, much of which is custom-made or outfitted for each newborn. With the enormous selection of fabrics, stains and styles, it would be easy to feel overwhelmed, but the friendly staff makes choosing a cinch.
High Prices/Low Customer Service

I visited this store for the first time to buy a baby shower gift from a friend's registry. When I arrived, I literally had to climb over clutter (boxes, overflowing displays, general mess) to get to the service desk to ask for assistance on the registry. When I walked up to the counter, the woman standing there doing paperwork & CHOMPING gum, completely ignored me. Finally a woman from behind her helped me with the registry - which took forever as they don't seem to be computerized. (Later she wrote down what I bought on a piece of paper.) I took her up on the offer to gift wrap ($6) & asked her to put a little stuffed elephant on top. When she gave me the wrapped package there was no elephant. Luckily I noticed & she went back & put it on. But the worst thing was that at the shower, my friend opened her gift & there was the price tag right on the front!!! I will NEVER shop there again.
- Pros: ???
- Cons: Messy, high prices, bad service
Okay products, high prices, bad service.

Considering the amounts of money that this store is asking parents to be to spend on baby items (the price of the furniture and accessories here is higher than the norm for the same brands elsewhere) the shop itself isn't well laid out, doesn't have pricing on every item, and when we visited, it had cardboard boxes and plastic bags littering the floor. The customer service was absolutely atrocious and the atmosphere was terrible. Exactly what I'm *not* looking for when I'm going out to buy for my baby. Better look elsewhere. Even the hellish Babiesrus is more fun than this place.
- Pros: lots on display
- Cons: unhelpful staff, disorganised, bad atmosphere
Great selection for cribs and furniture
by Ngila at Citysearch
I bought a crib, dresser, shelves and a rocker here for my firstborn. I really liked the store's selection and the staff was helpful. It did take about 7 weeks for the furniture to arrive however, so order early. The prices are in the higher medium range - but the quality is very good.
- Cons: closed on Sundays
