Rude and Pushy Owner with smoke filled shop
by Lola2008 at Citysearch
I would shop here much more often if it weren't for the pushy owner. She follows you around the store making you look at dresses and trying them on. She doesn't let you just leisurely look. She has rules about her clothing as well. For instance she will yell at you for holding keys in your hands as you look through the racks. If you can get past all this and find a dress you like you better be prepared for the horrible smell of cigarettes. Sometimes the store is so filled with smoke it makes your eyes burn and you have to go outside for fresh air. It's a shame too because her clothes are great and at reasonable prices. You just have to expect that you will need to get them cleaned to get the cigarette smell out of them.
Horrible Service, RUDE Owner!!
by designerlosangeles at Citysearch
Absolutely the RUDEST owner I have ever dealt with. She SMOKES inside around all of these vintage clothes!! A little overpriced, though some of it is good. Some of it is FAKE vintage, so check the tags!!!
On my first visit, the shop owner insulted me regarding the size of my breasts and how "they would never fit into the dress I was interested in purchasing. My second visit to Hubba Hubba was this past week. Again, the owner was pushy, RUDE and followed me around her tiny little store, complaining that I was getting too close to her mannequins near the window. She basically RUINED my entire shopping experience with her neurosis. After about 10 minutes of being told what to do, treated like a child, how to turn the
clothing-rack, ?don?t touch my clothes to the floor? (although she smokes around them) I looked at her and said "You know what? I'm done." To my amazement, she asked "What? Did I offend you or something??"
Needless to say, I will NEVER, EVER go back. There are way too many amazing vintage clothing stores in the LA area that feature incredible finds at GREAT prices--without rude sales peopl and drama.
- Pros: Some nice dresses if you are willing to sift through them yourself!
- Cons: Rude, offensive owner, pushy, SMOKES inside the store around the clothing! Yuck
Don't Bother Calling

The person I spoke to was very curt and rude when I asked them if they carried a specific item. And in a frustrated voice said, "You have to come in . . . I'm with a customer." I hope they realize I have absolutely no interest in checking the place out now.
