Continental cuisine served in a garden atrium under a sky-scraping glass ceiling.

Affluent Angelenos and Valley ladies who lunch flock to this garden-style eatery decorated with Scottish marble, crystal chandeliers and plants clinging to the walls. The French-accented menu is enhanced with soy and wild fruit sauces, adding tangy, sweet flavors to traditional dishes. Entrees include maple-leaf farm duck covered in raspberry-cranberry sauce, and lemon-pepper linguine, doused with extra-virgin olive oil and shiitake mushrooms. Fluffy chocolate souffle is a dessert specialty.

I don't know why people rave about this place. What bothered me most was the atmosphere - the garden setting with high ceilings and white wrought iron did not lend itself to an intimate environment. The food was good, however. But the service just OK. There are better spots for a good dinner and overall experience.
