Gone downhill!

I used to come here about 7 or so years ago. The food was amazing espeically the half grilled chicken with the bone and topped with garlic and onions. Yesterday my friend and I went there for lunch only to eat the worst chicken and salad ever. This place has seriously gone down hill and how can you tell? It is empty! I mean in Studio City where every restaurant is full it is no surprise to see only 3 tables. The chicken was terrible! The waitress didn't ask whether I wanted the bone in or not. The chicken arrived looking cold and boring. The garlic and onion sauce had no sizzle whatsoever. I looked at the jelly like stuff on top of the cold chicken which was burned and was in shock. This is not worth 15 dollars. The sides were even less appetizing. So sad the food quality there is terrible. My friend got a salad which looked like someone threw it together without any thought. What a waste of 30 dollars on dinner. Notice that when you go to to their website they don't even have a customer service number ha! If they did I would have called and made sure they know how bad their restaurants have become over the years.
- Pros: Close by and easy to find an empty table
- Cons: Food and service slow
Great Food with decent service

My boyfriend and I are always looking for some place new to eat and we went to Gaucho's on a Wednesday night. Even though it was pouring outside and it was in the middle of the week this modern looking restaurant was still entertaining quite a few customers. IF you have been to Lala's on Ventura is is definitely comparable with its bread and olive oil dip to start all the way to its menu selection. What Goucho's offers that Lala's doesn't, is a larger menu selection with a little more of a variety on dishes. The service wasn't amazing, but we couldn't complain.
- Pros: Don't have to valet at this one!!!
Not what It Used to Be...

I used to go here all the time, but about 6 months ago, I became disappointed. They changed the menu and raised their prices. We used to go there for their platter of stuffed sausages (very exotic) but they informed us that they dont have it anymore and instead brang us a small 3 bite sausage for $9. I was disappointed. The steak that I used to get for $10 is now smaller and costs $16. However, alot of times I go there, I see celebs. Overall, I dont like the change. The food is okay, instead of the great food that was once there. I want the old menu back. By the way, the staff are friendly and you can ask for recommendations.
- Pros: good food, friendly, relaxing
- Cons: changed, more expensive, smaller menu
Trendy Argentinean chain specializes in grilled steak, fried steak and steak-and-cheese sandwiches.

In Short
Green plants and a high ceiling lend a garden ambience to the contemporary dining room; dim lighting encourages romance. But the restaurant's main draw is meat, massive steaks served with piles of crispy fries and a variety of sauces. Vegetarians can opt for the Provoleta appetizer, a wedge of cheese melted in a mini-skillet and topped with fresh salsa. There are also several South American-inspired chicken and fish entrees, and an ambitious cocktail menu.
One of LA's best

The best food around, especially for the price. Everything on the menu is spectacular
Garlic Overload
by Ngila at Citysearch
Gaucho Grill is a chain that provides consistent, reasonable fare - primarly sandwiches, salads and meat dishes. The Argentinean food is a nice change from a typical American oriented menu. Just don't fill up on the bread and dipping olive oil served beforehand. Their Ventura location is roomy and rarely crowded. The only problem I find with their food is that I'm tasting garlic for the rest of the day. Sometimes it's a big too much.
