Everyone LOVES my new colour and cut! Thanks Kristen!!!

I have been going to Kristen forever, and always love what she does with my hair. Each look is better than the last, she has an excellent record. However, when I went to see her recently, it felt like I needed to be someone totally different. I was ready for a brand new look, something fun and playful. She made some excellent suggestions, showing me exactly which colours and cut would compliment my fair skin and features the most. For colour, we decided on a rich violet/brown background with splashes of a lighter vibrant violet/blueberry. Sounds crazy, but trust me, it works!!! Normally I prefer my hair longer, which Kristen has always respected. But I was feeling bold, so when she recommended a shoulder sweeping TONY AND GUY haircut I said YES, Let's do it!! We both could see that I needed to shed a lot of stuff, and cutting my hair seemed very symbolic and adventurous. And for me, generally scary. But I have total trust in Kristen, and I so glad I do!!!! We/SHE went for it and, the result could not be more pleasing. I am ecstatic. I NEVER thought I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE short hair, but I do. And there is still enough hair for a ponytail, which was important to me.(I have been told this is the sexiest do I ever had, and what woman doesn't want to hear that)? Compliments immediately started to come from every direction, even from women, including a woman at the car wash. I look fifteen years younger than I did before I walked into Capella and sat in Kristen's chair. This new hair inspired new makeup and a new me! I won't confess my age, but I do want you to know that Kristen can and has taken YEARS off my face and attitude. I feel refreshed and alive again. I wanted to write this to both express my gratitude to Kristen, and to share with my unseen 'girlfriends' out there, that if you are seeking change, big or small, there IS someone you can trust out there in the world of hair, Her name is Kristen and she works at Capella.

I Never Liked My Haircuts Before Amanda

I was never satisfied with my haircuts in the past. I always felt that something was missing. I would look okay but never impressed with how my hair came out.

That all changed when Amanda Litt started cutting my hair. As a guy who had my haircut by my local barber for years I had no idea what I was missing out on. Amanda listened to what I wanted and then she managed to surpass my expectations.

I have been going to her for about a year now and she always manages to make me look good. If you are tired with the same old look you've had for years go see Amanda and let her make you look great.

Fabulous Salon, Rosie is the best with color and cut!

Rosie is fantastic, she's great with haircuts and always willing to try new things with you, and she's honest! If you want your hair one way, if she thinks it won't look good she tells you. She also does great color, and she's funny and easy!

A cool location with top-notch stylists

My stylist, Kristen Arnhoelter, is amazing ! She is so abundantly talented. As a runway and print model for many years, I have worked with some very high profile stylists from around the country, and Kristen's skills are definitely on par with the best of them.

But beyond her impressive skills as a stylist - what makes Kristen exceptional is her fresh, unique approach to making people look and feel better. She listens to you, gets a sense of you inside & out, and then creates a look that brings out your true beauty. She somehow has the ability to highlight beautiful parts of you - that maybe you didn't even recognize before - and allow them to shine through.

Kristen is a rare stylist, and simply a wonderful person to know.

Great for curly girls who want to be "straight" girls!

Having lived the life of a "curly girl" vs. a "straight girl", most curly girls can tell the straight life is easier and most versatile. I've had my hair professionally straightened for several years and have been satisfied

with the results but have noticed that it does break rather (thanks to extremely deliciate and baby fine hair) and growing it out long has been an arduous process.

When Kristin Arnhoelter informed me of an exciting new product, Kerasmooth Antifrizz I was a tad hesitant

because I didn't want to chance it as I was really okay with the current treatment. So, in discussing this new process with her she told me that it was like the Brazillian blowout, except its totally safe because its formaldehyde (and aldahyde) free!

Having been a client of Kristin's for 7+ years, and trusting that she would never steer me wrong I decided to try it.

And I'm so glad I did.

It takes less effort to dry my hair and within a week I noticed that the breakage was far less. With less effort comes faster blo-drying so I don't have to stress out about needing an hour to get ready! It is extremely soft

and still has bounce so I decide to curl it, it looks extremely bouncy and shiny. I have rec'd compliments on how wonderful it looks and am very very

pleased with the results.

I would totally recommend this treatment and while it is a "tad" more expensive, I would strongly suggest using this brand to convert your frizzy, curly hair to a sleeker, straighter look. When I was fine with it before I

am completely satisfied now! I would, however, want to remind you that when you get the treatment you can't wash your hair for three days - so just

be sure to account for this.

FINALLY found someone who will listen to me!!

I just got home from my 2nd time going to Rosie at Capella Salon and I had to write a review before I got too busy because I finally had a wonderful experience at a salon in the Valley!! I actually found Rosie from reading reviews here on Citysearch about 3 months ago. I had tried several salons in the Valley and always felt like the stylists didn't listen to what I said and just did whatever the hell they wanted to and I would leave there feeling like I was wearing a wig! I have never written a review here, but always read other peoples, and usually don't believe them...but I REALLY wanted to share how wonderful my experience was today! I just felt ugly and bla...Rosie did my hilites and an AWESOME haircut that makes me feel pretty again! I don't know what else to say, but in the hour and a half I was there today we laughed and gabbed so much, I didn't even realize what she was doing, but when she handed me the mirror in the end and spun me around...I wanted to cry...I looked soooo great and just felt better! I finally found my "girl"...and I just wanted to spread the word!!!

For the past 23 years, I thought I had the best hair stylist, and then I met Andrea. Like many people, I have trust issues when it comes to cutting my hair and for the past 23 years, I?ve only trusted one person to do it. I moved from Florida 3 years ago and would only get my hair cut when I?d fly home. Getting it cut twice a year just wasn?t working out. About 2 years ago, I decided to give Capella a try. I was really nervous, but Andrea Askar was recommended to me and I was told she was amazing. I had long straight hair and I was kind of getting bored with how it looked. I saw a girl in a magazine with this amazing full hair, with these amazing layers and I showed it to Andrea and an hour later, my hair was transformed. I couldn?t believe how amazing she was! There isn?t a day that goes by where my hair DOESN?T get a compliment and this is something that had never happened until she started cutting my hair. To say she?s ?amazing? doesn?t even give justice to how wonderful she really is! Part of me doesn?t want to share the secret of my wonderful hair stylist, but the confidence I?ve gotten in the past 2 years of her cutting my hair, is a feeling every girl/woman should feel.

Kristen Arnhoelter changed my life...

Since I?ve been 18 I?ve experienced hair loss that has become gradually worse over the years. As a young woman, this can be traumatizing since your hair is often what makes you feel feminine. I?ve been to every type of doctor, tried every product out there and even resorted to cosmetic hair loss companies? all with no solution. By chance encounter, I ran into Kristen who explained a new type of hair extensions called micro lines that were specifically created for women with thinning hair. The idea sounded ?too good to be true? especially with the stereotypes I?ve heard about extensions in the past. Plus, I thought, ?Why has nobody suggested this solution before?? Her training, knowledge of the hair industry and new techniques blew me away. She has a huge heart and became certified to do micro lines on me because she truly cared about making a difference in my life. I?ve had my ?new do? for over two months now and I cannot even begin to count the number of compliments I've received from strangers on how much they love my hair cut. I am so thankful for all she has done to make such a positive impact in my life.

Best Salon In the City - Serious!

Hands down and hairs up - this is the best salon experience I've had in all of L.A. having lived here since l976.. To begin with there is actually a convenient place to park. The atmosphere of the salon is relaxed, pretty and completely unpretentious. Very peaceful and respectful.

You got the feeling everybody in there actually likes each other (as opposed to all the places I've been where they're bickering with each other, competing, and all and all bad energy.

Shai cut my hair. I have curly hair and he is THE FIRST who actually knew how to cut it. And he's also promised me I can GROW IT which is amazing since everybody else has always said it can't/ shouldn't get long because it will be completely unmanageable. Their products are fantastic! Shai's assistant Betty is a doll.

Then I had Shani do my eyebrows. So that's the end of visits to Anastasia for me. . She's fantastic!!!
