Unusual British-themed Koreatown bar caters to neighborhood regulars and Wilshire Boulevard professionals.

The Scene
Apparently nobody thought to redecorate when the bar transitioned from fancy Englishman-themed hotel lobby bar to a Korean restaurant and lounge. And it's a good thing--the juxtaposition of decor and menu is a big part of its charm. Located in a subterranean space in the former Windsor Hotel location, framed portraits of redcoat dignitaries and other proper-looking 19th century gentleman decorate the walls, while young couples on dates and well-dressed businessmen sip soju and beer. Comfortable exaggerated shell rounded booths comprise most of the seating areas, and a large bar rests in the center of the room.
The Draw
For some it's a comfortable space to get away from the booking--i.e. involuntary matchmaking--policies of other area nightclubs. For others, it's all about novelty. First timers are always intrigued by the concept that for every round of drinks ordered, complimentary food items are brought to the table, which become progressively more elaborate.
