As a loyal and dedicated customer for the past twenty years I cannot say enough wonderful things about Salon Blu. From the minute you walk in the door and are greeted by the receptionist you are made to feel like the only client in the salon. The owner and head stylist, Deb is a true visionary and whiz with either the scissors or color brush. I constantly have people stop me in the street asking where I get my hair done. I am blonde and to keep it looking natural or turning it up a notch Deb is amazing. Her experience, eye for what looks good on someone and her ability to convey to her clients what looks best on them is truly a talent! On top of that, Deb always has a great story to tell or shares great advice no matter what the topic. You not only look good walking out of the salon, you feel great too!

I am ALWAYS happy when I leave!

I absolutely LOVE this salon, particularly Melissa! She is hands down the BEST stylist I have ever had and I will never go anywhere else. I have pretty long (middle of my back) curly hair, and lots of it! So, it takes me a little while every time I get my hair done, and not everyone knows what to do with it. Melissa never has a problem. She never makes me feel like a burden, even when I'm there for 6 hours! She knows what she is doing and my hair (cut, color and blown out straight) always turns out perfect, and I'm not kidding; it is perfect! In addition, everyone here is always super friendly and inviting. It's always a stress free, fun, relaxing experience and I find myself looking forward to my next appointment!

I HAVE A GREAT HAIRSTYLIST FOR YOU

I found Andrew at salon Blu on yelp and my hair feels so much better, He colored it without using the harsh chemicals that some stylists use, which I appreciate because I am very sensetive to chemicals. The best part of all he was half the price that I was paying in beverly hills. He made it so shiny it looks luminous. Seriously, go see Andrew when you need your hair done. I could tell he knows what he's doing

What a great salon experience. The front desk was very helpful in setting up my appointment with Melissa. Since Salon Blu is located in Santa Monica on Main Street, there is easy parking in the lot behind and on the street with lots of boutiques and cute shops for shopping - before and after my appointment. Melissa was extremely pleasant and helpful! She gave me a great cut and beautiful high lights/low lights! She listened to my ideas, gave wonderful suggestions, and made it so easy for me to explain what I wanted. Since I have been going to see her, I have received so many compliments on my hair and how great I look with my current style. We all want to look beautiful, and when I leave her chair, I always feel fantastic.

• Pros: Melissa made it a fun salon experience with fabulous results.

my stylist left

my stylist left so this salon, so i wanted to pull my review. i never worked with anyone else, so i can't say too much about the salon anymore. sorry!!

• Pros: Service is great, staff is helpful, prices are wallet-friendly, and parking isn't bad either, there is a full lot of meters behind the salon.
• Cons: I wish they were open later, I work until about 6pm so weekend appointments are my only option!
