What I'm wondering is if any of you women have ANY common sense!
You expect to be able to call this woman 24/7 while you're pregnant but dont realize that you're hormonal and that she's your doctor not your slave. You don't own her, shes human and there is such a thing as being inappropriate and expecting too much. Youre not her only patient and being a doctor doesnt mean you stop having personal problems and personal needs. The world doesnt have to bend over backward simply because youre expecting, you're not the first or the last!! And if you think you're experiencing an emergency COMMON SENSE would be to go to the hospital and if it turns out to indeed be an emergency the hospital, as procedure has to call your OBGYN.
If you wanted to discuss your miscarriage but you're calling the woman and then writing about how she hung up on you, does that really surprise you. Again, common sense, would tell you to go in to her office w/o an appoitment to discuss this instead of taking up the time of other patients. Why should you get a free consultation, you're no ones priority except for yourself and if you werent getting the proper attention from her you should have automatically gone for a second opinion!
The rest of the petty complaints about not receiving a more personal call regarding the office not taking your insurance or not feeling any sympathy towards your miscarriages or pains keep in mind that 1. these people are not your friends 2. Dr. Masterson relies on science and science only as a way to diagnose and treat and 3. this is a business. If the office simply didn't take your insurance, its because it happens, after one year or after 11, were you expecting flowers!? If youre suffering pain or bleeding did you want ice cream and hug as she tells you its normal. And keep in mind that when youre given a perscription, the pharmacy needs to call to confirm. The off
Horrible experience

I waited an hour for my first appointment with Dr Masterson, which she rushed through. Nobody ever apologized for the wait.
I recently went to the ER b/c of some pain, and found out I have a complex ovarian cyst. The ER told me to see my GYN immediately. When I called to make an appointment, her nurse said she doesn't work on Wednesdays and they couldn't help me. The nurse told me I should find another doctor if I think this is an emergency.
I suppose Dr. Masterson told them to fit me in, because they called me back and said she should see me ASAP. She coldly told me it could be cancer. She spent not even 5 minutes with me and left. I deserved more information than she told me.
I have been awaiting test results from her that were supposed to arrive yesterday. Nobody from her office called me. I called to ask about them, and one of the nurses told me that if tests are normal, the staff files them away and doesn't call. Needless to say, I never got a call back from the staff. So I'm waiting over the weekend for a test that supposedly is supposed to tell me if I may have cancer. She never called to ask me how I'm doing - just tells me I might have cancer and washes her hands with it.
I called on a Saturday because I thought I might be having a medical emergency (but wasn't sure, since I'm not a doctor), and she yelled at me. Didn't even remember who I was (she told me about the cancer 2 days ago), asked if I was pregnant (I'm NOT) and yelled at me for calling. Said if I was really worried, I'd just have to get squeezed in on Monday so she could look at my charts.
She's a professional, and weekends are an expected part of that job for any professional, let alone a doctor. I have never encountered a professional so cold and unprofessional. I didn't know she'd been on Oprah and Dr. Phil or I NEVER would have gone to see her. This just makes it worse. Please don't waste your time seeing her. Her staff is rude, and she is worse. Run, run, run away.
- Pros: None.
- Cons: Where to begin... cold, poor bedside manner, rude, HORRIBLE staff
