Best Cuban Food on the West Side
by Louie18 at Citysearch
I have been eating at this Cuban Restaurant for over 30 years and still find it very good. The quantity and quality of the food is just what you are looking for in a good authentic restaurant. The service is very good and attentive. The waitresses are knowledgeable of the menu items. Very clean and pleasant.
- Pros: Authentic Cuban Food
- Cons: none
Excellent Cuban Food
by MarkScott101 at Citysearch
We enjoyed the hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The food was terrific and the prices were reasonable. If you are expecting tacos and burritos, they don't have it on the menu. This is a Cuban restaurant.
- Pros: Different food than your typical Mexican food.
- Cons: Ambiance is lacking
Excellent Authentic Cuban Food
by quique4love at Citysearch
Wonderful, flavorful Cuban Food. A real "hole in the wall" kind of restaurant. A rare finding in Culver City. Easy and friendly pace and service. Casual and relaxed atmosphere. Prices are a great catch!
- Pros: Authenticity and Price/Value
- Cons: Small and non an atractive location
Willing to try again
by ravenbeaut at Citysearch
Based on what I had heard about this cute little local Cuban joint, I really wanted to LOVE it. I ordered the Cuban pulled pork and thought it was good, not as great as I had hoped. Still, the service was attentive, quick and the prices are right. My friend ordered the garlic chicken and reallly liked it a lot. I'd venture back to try again.

Great food, sizeable portions, good service

I used to love going to this restaurant when I lived in West LA. The food is always prepared fresh and comes out piping hot. The prices are definitely worth the quality of the food and the portions. The restaurant itself is small, not one for big groups, but if you're looking for something more quaint and homey, this is your place.
Good Local Cuban Food
by liliusd42 at Citysearch
I tried this restaurant last month for the first time. I have passed by it for years, but the location is really tucked away, and I never noticed it until I smelled the food as I walked by on the way to Big 5.
The food was very good. Good black beans and rice. The pricing and the portions were reasonable as well. There are two exterior tables, but you have to get there early to get one. The restaurant is open until 10PM and seems to get a rush around 9 or so.
I'll be back soon.
- Pros: Good food, good pricing; quaint location
- Cons: Did not realize this place existe duntil lastt month
I ordered take-out
by xhustlex at Citysearch
The place is appealing but not to roomy, has maybe 6-8 tables inside and a few outside. Definitely authentic and the food was delicious, I ordered the ropa vieja(shredded beef) and it came with white rice, black beans and plantains, aslo added a flan for desert. I'm not big on black beans and usually wont bother finishing them but at this place they were great! plantains are thee best, they are whole not slices like usual and have a perfect glaze to them. The beef was pretty good and not to rich or full of vegetables and very tender. Overall I recommend this restaurant because the food is good and not pricey and because Im going back to get some good looking sea food dishes I seen and take it home for the family, I'll make sure to let you know how it is too. Also, the flan was goood!
- Pros: hearty proportion, authentic food, well priced
- Cons: lack of parking so, take some change, for the meter
Great Garlic-Onion Pollo Asado
by mysuebaru at Citysearch
That dish is just under $7, and comes with a huge mound of rice, as well as generous helpings of black beans and fried plantains. El Rincon Criollo is not only quiet and cozy, but the walls are covered with colorful Cuban paintings of the island, the people, and classic American cars. Their blended coffee and fruit smoothies (e.g. guayabana) are large, delicious and reasonably priced.
- Pros: inexpensive, good food
Make your mouth water
by frankybeauty at Citysearch
It is a day later and I am still thinking about this food. I had the garlic chicken and it was scrumptious! I took one bite into this tender chicken and my teeth sank into the the garlic glazed piece of meat. It was like a burst of flavor. The service is wonderful to say the least. I frequent restaurants around my area but nothing compares to the delight in this intimate hide away. I will definetly be returning, maybe sometime this week
- Pros: TV (sports), food, inexpesive
