the decor of the restaurant is amazing but its a pity that the food was awful. i would recommend just going there for drinks skip the food. really.
- Pros: ambience
- Cons: food
wonderfull food, small quantity
by claytp
I liked this restaurant. the people were nice, waiting was non-existant, but i did make a reservation ahead of time. probably wasn't necesary because the restaurant was about 3/4 full. valet was nice. food was very artsy and tastefull. i had the tuna tar tar which was great. the drinks were very well mixed and quick coming. The food could be in higher quantity considering our dinner drinks and all were over 100 bucks
- Pros: atmosphere, service, location
- Cons: quantity for the $, drink prices
So Many Places In Los Angeles To Choose From....
by heidi1300
Wow, we got in relatively early on a Friday night (before the crowd). We had appetizer, main dish and dessert. The appetizer soup was sent back because it was cold, the Kobe Steak (which was highly recommended and ordered Med) came out raw, not rare and was sent back 3 times. My companion commented on the 3rd time, how this is how it should have come out from the get go. The fish my companion ordered was cold. How disappointing when you are paying top dollar. Never again!
The Best!!!!

I went to Cinch last monday and I am going again today. You have to try their Omakase course dinner. It is only served on Mon and Tue but it's a bargain. There is nowhere else in LA you can get a 6 course fine dinning for 40 bucks. I would easily have paid over 100 bucks for this course. Every meal was excellent but if I had to choose my favorite it had to be the first course of crab meat wraped in maguro with two types of sauces and the foie gras with duck meat in a franco-japanese wine sauce. I get so happy just thinking about going back there. A must for anyone looking for perfection in their dinning experience!
- Pros: Food, Ambience, Service
- Cons: it's far from my pad
A Hit!

I just went tuesday night and had Chef Yuji's 6 course set menu. I know, its hard not to have low expectations of the food when a set menu is priced at 40$ pp, but don't be fooled. B/C once the food came out, i was blown away. rather, i felt so fortunate i found out about the Mon-Tues dining special. I've had my share of fine dining, and i'd say this place may top my list now. I loved the food of course, and to add to the experience the decor was exquisite. Honestly, if you want to impress people, show them you know what quality is by taking them here. id definitely go again. even to have a large bday party would be great!
- Pros: Waitress, Decor, Bar
- Cons: n/a
GREAT NIGHT
by max2
I went there last Friday night and had a great time with wy wife and another couple. My wife I had a couple of martinis in the bar while we waited for our guests and were sat right on time when our friends arrived. The butterleaf salad was great as well as the my flat iron steak. The service was friendly and courteous. The desserts were a ++ winner.
- Pros: Bar, Desserts
- Cons: Slow Valet
Ran out of food on Valentine's Day!
by kapooch
We had reservations for Valentine's Day at 9:30pm, and didn't get seated until 10:15pm. When we finally orderd, the Apppetizer, Main Course and Dessert that I wanted were sold out. Add to that, by the time we were told no food was available, it was 10:45pm and our options for Valentine's Day were limited. We asked to speak to the manager who never came by. Bad organization for what should have been a lovely dinner.
- Cons: Bad Service
Never Again

There are so many great restaurants in LA and this is NOT one of them. My husand and I went here on a Monday evening, with reservations. Even though there were only 7 other small groups, our service was extremely slow and inattentive. We had to repeatedly ask for things that should be provided without request. Most importantly, the food was TERRIBLE! STAY AWAY FROM THE DUCK! How you could ruin such a great food is beyond me. My husband's rack of lamb was very average, if over cooked, but most of all, the sauces just didn't match the flavor of the food. When dessert arrived, the top of my apple crisp was burned. Yes, burned-- as in, blackened. We would never return to this place.
- Pros: Beautiful atmosphere
- Cons: Terrible food, inattentive service
Great dinner, great experience
by lisastitch
I was here last night, 9pm on a Wednesday, so it wasn't crowded at all. I took my friend there for his birthday, but didn't mention it to the staff, yet we were still treated like royalty. We enjoyed a bottle of a fantastic French bordeaux for $44 - not bad. We both had the spinach salad, veyr fresh with great dressing, and we got chicken satay skewers compliments of the chef that were soooo tasty, and I normally don't like chicken satay skewers! My filet that I ordered "medium" was cooked perfectly, and my friend had the lamb which he devoured. Chocolate bento box dessert was a nice ending. The entire time, the service was so courteous and on top of things without being intrusive, some of the best service I've ever had, and the atmosphere was so relaxing. I HIGHLY recommend!
- Pros: service, food!, wine list
Eating at Cinch was a pain!
by ilikeparties
Aside from the company of the group with whom I was dining there was nothing great about Cinch. The service was half-hearted, our food was an hour late, and when it did arrive it was boring and not worth the expensive prices. I had heard same bad things about Cinch last Spring but I thought they might have gotten their act together by now. My heirloom tomato salad was just a plate of cliced tomatoes (of the quality used on a McD's hamburger), the crabcakes were only about 10% crab, and my friend's steak was plain and overcooked. At least my beer was cold. There are so many great places to eat in Los Angeles where you can get great food and great service. CInch is not one of them. I will not be going back.
- Pros: attractive interior
- Cons: poor service, too expensive, mediocre food
