Very nice staff, my best smog test ever.

I was recommended by a friend at work and it was a very fast experience. The whole auto thing usually scares me because it always takes so long and costs a fortune. This place was fast and easy. Sixty bucks and I was out in ten minutes. Place was clean, fellas were nice.

Quick - efficent- nice

It was raining, Oscar received me with a big smile.

I waited 20 minutes and in the waiting room they have a screen in which you can see what's going on in the shop. You see what the mechanics are doing! + they had coffee and plenty of magazines.

Oscar even told me I could go to AAA instead of the DMV. I didn't know that!

I wanted to see if it opened at 8 because I had a busy day of shopping scheduled and noticed the one bad review and asked about it. Apparently he is no longer at the shop. I've been going here for a long time and have never had any problems, in fact it has always been an enjoyable experience. JKW, Santa Monica

BEST IN THE WEST!

I woke up this morning dreading to go get my car smog checked! Well let me tell you 16 Min. Smog on santa monica blvd made it easy! Thursday 11 am- I pulled up and although it was busy the gentlemen assured me it would not be too long of wait. Price was average, staff was great, I passed the test!!

QUICK SERVICE, NICE GUY, EASY

New owner Nelson is rude and has jacked the prices up.

Do not go here, less than a block away is Nono's 76 where they will do your smog check in 15 minutes (Take that 16 Minute Smog!) and they charge less for it. If you look up the review here on yelp, there is a link to get your smog check for $50 out the door! Even if your experience isn't like mine, why go here?

I just got back from here this Monday morning at 9:30AM. I had gone here because I got my smog check done a couple years ago. New owner, very very rude, and their prices have gone up.

Nelson is the owner/operator and was very rude to me. Our interaction lasted less than 5 minutes and he was already yelling at me at the end. This happened on a Monday morning around 9:30AM where I was the only customer. I came in for a smog check and as he was handing the service contract to sign and told me the price was $75. I had paid $60 my last time out. I signed the contract and then he started talking to me and giving me directions on what to do. Handed him the keys and then stood far enough away for him to maneuver the car. And then he honks at me to move as if I didn't give him enough space. I move, he moves and he honks again at me. At that point I tell him I've changed my mind and he says fine, slams my door into a pole, and then retrieves my contract. I mention to him that I felt like his customer service needed improving and then he starts yelling at me telling me that I'm the problem and that he gets along fine with everyone else. I couldn't believe he was just yelling at me in the parking lot as he returned to his car. I told him that I would be going to the Business Bureau to file a complaint and he said that he didn't give a F*** who I went to.

• Cons: Terrible customer service - they'll yell at you. - Go just down the street to Nono's 76 and they will be cheaper, faster, and treat you nicer. Oooh that rhymes.

My favorite smog shop for 6 years now, I always pass and very fast.

The staff is the best there, Oscar is so cool, and I always pass the damn test. The name of this joint is accurate as I usually get out of there quickly. Dont have anything negative to say, the place is clean, nice guys, fast service, good price considering its Santa Monica Blvd in West LA, not exactly the bargain capital of the city. Highly recommended

Update- went back again, on a sunday, passed again, fella was a little slow, but he was the only smog shop open on sunday so it was ok.

• Cons: I hate doing the damn smog check, but they made it ok

Great Service

I went to 16 Minute Smog due to a recommendation from a friend and I'm glad i did. It was $50 after the coupon from Citysearch, they were really polite, friendly and it actually only did take 15mins!

Not the most professional. Fast.

Though the service was fast, the guy gave me a hard time for pulling up into the bay station. Also, he made some annoying comment when I was paying him. Won't go back because of the (lack of) professionalism. Even though the city search coupon is $10, the service is $60 when some other places charge less than $50 without a coupon.
