ok for late night food
by famousblueraincoat
i used to think this place was the cat's pjs till i discovered real mexican street food. but if you're out late on the eastside and need something to sop up the night's liquid's, it's not bad. tacos are ok and combo plates make a nice midnight feast. my friend used to enjoy the taquitos. only a couple stools at this stand, so either take it to go or eat standing up.
- Pros: open late night, pretty cheap
- Cons: average food, nowhere to sit
Great for those Veggies/Vegans wanting a burrito
by heyitsdi4n4
The beans may be a little dry, but overall I heartily enjoyed my no question veggie-friendly burrito. I love love love Mexican food, but am always terrified I'm accidentally consuming lard or a piece of meat that slips between the tortilla folds. Not here! My jaw dropped when I told the guy I wanted a vegetarian burrito and he said "What kind? We have two." What? TWO vegetarian burritos? One of which is actually vegan, the other made vegan very easily. The service hasn't been a problem for me. Dying to try their quesadilla with beans, rice, and avocado.
- Pros: Veggie/Vegan-friendly Mexican food
- Cons: Beans a little dry, prob because there's no lard
Terrible, Lazy Attempt at Mexican Food
by nuttnutt
First of all, the staff has about 3 brain cells between them. They messed up my order, left in things I told them to leave out, and the meat was seriously like rubber. I couldn't even eat it. The beans were really dry too. I've given this place more than one chance because it's so close and the only place in the area. But I'll definitely be taking my late night burrito craving elsewhere.
- Pros: none
- Cons: Thug hang out. Same freaks cooking the food.

Corner Mexican fast food stand offers basic tacos, burritos, taquitos, enchiladas for neighborhood regulars and late-night area clubgoers.
Next to Mom's...it'll do

While certainly not the best Mexican food around (that accolade goes to my Mom), it is a good late night substitute for those nagging "carnitas" cravings.
