Horrible Experience DO NOT GO HERE
by Richtown
Absolutely Ridiculous!!! I bought a defective pair of EXPENSIVE flip flops from these jerks and i tried to exchange (not return) them for a working pair less than 24 hours later with the receipt and these A HOLES told me I wore them and therefore they could not resell them! OF COURSE I wore them, you cant look at a pair of shoes and see that they are defective, you have to wear them!!
They would not do a god damn thing for me and I have been coming here a long time. At least I used to come here, save your money, time, energy and patience and bring your business to a store that actually helps their customers instead of telling them too bad. They could have sent them back to Rainbow with a letter saying the customer says these are improperly manufactured. The left sandal was fine but the right was totally offcenter and literally cutting into my foot in 3 places. I have had Rainbows before, I know you have to break them in but when one sandal feels a little tight (normal) and the other is giving me welts and making them unusable there is a problem. End of the story, left the $50 pair of Rainbows in the parking lot they were so bad. Do not go here!
- Cons: Customer Service is poor,
Bring your own beach ambience and rack up the savings at this Valley surf shop.

In Short
Though North Hollywood is miles away from the nearest beach, way on the other side of the Santa Monica Mountains, this surf shop draws steady business from the large number of surf dudes and dudettes who live in the Valley. This shred-a-torium offers a wide range of boards, accessories and beach-related gear (shorts, skates, fins) at significantly lower prices than you'll find at the average beach shop.

I went into val surf, and the skate gear selection was mediocre but being greated by a seasoned pro like Spencer Fujimoto was awsome. The surfboard selection was nice, a good variety but some burn through on some of the noses was seen. I guess you can sell crap to la people.
- Pros: good variety , Zoo York
- Cons: Some weird geeks
