Good food, horrible dining experience

- Cons: Waitstaff are incredibly rude!
Great Ceasar Salads (with Grilled Chicken)
by KCoy at Citysearch
One must try the ceasar w/ grilled chicken. I have had it at least twice a week for the last 3 weeks. Combined with a frosty cold Barq's Root Beer makes an enjoyable lunch indeed. They also have pizza and beer if that's your thing :)
Good pizza, bad waitresses...
by Larsorhansing at Citysearch
Years ago, I went to this place with a few friends. I thought it was super cool...all the signatures on the wall and everything... I moved out of the area, but moving back recently I went again... The BBQ chicken pizza was alright, the waitress was a bit slow.... I went here again last night after a show down the street at the Key Club. Wow. It was probably the most horrible dining experience ever. My frined and I stood at the counter waiting to make our order. There were three people working. None of them were busy. I said to my frined "Is this what it feels like to be invisible?" Still, no service. Finally some blonde waitress asked what we want, and took my order as if she was doing me a huge favor. She gave me a large to go cup of soda 99% filled with ice. There were about 2 sips of soda in the whole thing. My order was to go, but she served me on a paper plate. When I asked for a box, she stomped back and got it for me, again, as if she was too good for the joint.
When we finally left, I said thank you to her she responded with a snarky "yeah." and we left.
The pizza was pretty good, but I will never go there again. There are a millon pizza places around, I'll just choose another one where the wait staff doens't treat people like they don't exist.
- Pros: Really good pizza
- Cons: The snarkiest waitresses around
This place needs help!
by jrpro at Citysearch
If you are looking for an evening of receiving unpleasant service from some waitresses that are apparently too good to work in a pizza shop (but actually do), and having some horrible pizza, this is the right place for you. I know Frankie & Johnnie's for over 7 years now but must admit that their service and food is getting worst everyday. I am sure that I will not go back there for Pizza.
- Pros: Nice Name
- Cons: Service & Food
Horrible customer service
by unregistered at Citysearch
I ordered a pizza to-go for myself and my fiancee, and the girl working was very unpleasant on the phone. When I got there to pick up the order the service was not any better. I was not greeted by the girls standing there doing nothing and the girl that rang me up acted as if I was being a huge inconvenience to her. The only thing she said to me the entire time was how much my order was. And the pizza, just average. We got a half hawaiian half pepperoni and it wasn't great. The crust was extremely hard. Zpizza on Santa Monica is much better, both the pizza and the service. I will definitely not be returning to Frankie & Johnnie's, which is unfortunate because it is right down the street from us.
Fast and convenient, but if you have the time, go elsewhere.

The pizza is really just okay. A bit on the oily side, and has a funny "twinge" to it -- you know, the kind of thing you can tell other people may LOVE it for, but just doesn't strike you quite right. Since a lot of the other reviews are so glowing, I guess it's best to give it a try yourself -- maybe the aforementioned "twinge" WILL be your thing, even though it certainly wasn't mine. Also, when we visited (1/19/08), the restaurant currently had a "B" health code rating, just so you are aware.
- Pros: Fast and convenient, by-the-slice
- Cons: Better pizza can be found elsewhere
Best slice in town!
by beerdrinker53 at Citysearch
You can really never go wrong here! If they don't have the slice with the toppings ready at the front, order a cheese slice, and add your own. Two slices usually does it for me, and if I have room for dessert, I get the cheesecake. They give you two slices, so it's worth the $6. I usually take the second slice home. This is a must for NY style pizza lovers!
- Pros: Toppings, cheesecake, cute girls working.
- Cons: A little too bright inside.
Awesome pizza, cute staff

Frankie & Johnny's is the best pizza on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. The little location is cute with it's signed walls. The best pizza here is the Little Pauli's Special. Mmm-hmm. They can handle large groups too.
A Good Lunch Spot
by svantico at Citysearch
I've worked down the street for a couple of years but only tried this in the past couple of months. The pizza is yummy - I'm not sure how to describe it but it's different than the chains. I love the one (Pauli's) loaded with different meats. Last time I ordered a sandwich (Jimmy The Greek). It was fantastic and I couldn't believe how generous the portions were. It was a nice spicy sandwich topped with sliced cherry peppers. I will definitely be going back for more of that!
You can buy pizza by the slice and they have a nice selection so it's not just the run-of-the mill pepperoni, cheese, and veggie options.
For the star-struck, the walls are filled with autographs from celebs.
3/12/09: Downgraded my rating to 3. The last few times I've gone I've ordered by the slice and the pizza just hasn't been that flavorful. Yesterday I got the $4.95 lunch special: half a Caesar salad (big portion and yummy), a slice (might as well have been cardboard) and a soda.
- Pros: Good Food Options
- Cons: On the Pricy Side, Mopped Floor While Patrons Ate
Best Pizza in Brentwood!!
by sophie529 at Citysearch
Frankie and Johnnies has the best tasting pizza in the Brentwood area. They have many different toppings and the pizza is affordable. They even have a wall that they let customers write/draw on. I recommend Frankie and Johnnies for anybody looking for good pizza in brentwood!
- Pros: BEST PIZZA FOR SUCH A GREAT PRICE
- Cons: Parking, and they should paint over the wall so customers can write on it again.
