Didn't Appear To Want Customers
by Chai Latte at Citysearch
This weekend I stopped in at Sephora in Santa Monica, California. Sales people were rude. There were a few sales associates on the floor however they didn't appear to be helping anyone or wanting to help anyone. No one said Hi. There was a lot of attitude and it wasn't of positive either. They really didn't appear to want customers; it was a very negative experience. Good thing Sephora has great products as this Sephora wouldn't survive with the way their customer service was.
Santa Monica-Sephora Lacks Customer-Focused Management
by forty9flowers at Citysearch
I love Sephora however not the Santa Monica Sephora; my experience there makes me rethink whether I want to be doing business with Sephora(s) at all if they don't hire customer-focused management for each of their stores. The girl who rang my purchase identified herself as the store director (Kristina C). I had to laugh as the little girl who rang my purchase, or rather opened her big deer eyes and wouldn't keep her mouth shut, didn't know the first thing about customer service. She was rude, had poor communication skills and was a bad representative over all for Sephora. You're a brat! Sephora might be wise in sending you back to basic 101 customer service training.
Bright lights, red carpet and designer cosmetics bring Hollywood makeup essentials to the masses.

In Short
This glitzy beauty boutique is covered wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling in fragrances, cosmetics and skin-care essentials. Ralph Lauren, Christian Dior and Shiseido are alongside harder-to-find brands like BeneFit, Interface and Nars. Everything is available for sampling and salespeople are eager to help clients dabble with new products. You're not here to bargain hunt, though. Expect to pay top dollar.

HEAVEN for beauty-product junkies
by baychick at Citysearch
Sephora is an AMAZING place to buy any and all beauty products, tools, and perfumes. Everything is neatly organized by brand and easy to find, the selection is unbelievable, and all products are available for testing and trying out the color. They actually encourage you to linger and try stuff on! It's not cheap, but for quality products and fun, comfortable, and exhilarating shopping experience, Sephora FAR surpasses department store makeup counters.
- Pros: selection, product lines, atmosphere, testers
- Cons: expensive, often crowded
