BEST DIM SUM EVER
by simigal at Citysearch
My hubby took me this morning for Valentine's Day. We had the most delicious Dim Sum. Delicious egg rolls, shrimp dim sum, and rice soup. The portions were so big. There was a big croud in there but we finally got seated within a reasonable 15 minutes. It was worth the wait. The decor of the place was also very nice. We were surprised to see that for all the delicious food we had the check was so little. What a treat.
- Pros: excellent food, ambience, service, price
- Cons: Parking, the area is crowded
Parking can be tough

. I loved A&W good chinese restaurants In the SFV. Get a lot for your money and is reasonably priced.
- Cons: Parking can be tough
Maybe get takeout?
by heebyskeeby at Citysearch
We'd heard rave reviews from friends so we decided to try it. The food really was good, the menu has a huge variety, and it was served hot and quickly! Unfortunately, the service was pretty spotty. Of two waitresses, one was very curt and didn't seem to want us there. At the end of the meal, the server boxing the leftovers knocked over some sauce and stained the tablecloth which he immediately apologized for and we had no problem with. But the waitress who returned with our check assumed we had spilled and was visibly (and audibly) upset with us about it, which ended the meal on a rather down note. All in all the food was great but next time I'd try and get takeout instead of chancing the service again, especially since the restaurant wasn't that crowded or hectic when we went.
- Pros: Great food served promptly
- Cons: Spotty service otherwise

West Valley Chinese restaurant offers familiar favorites like chow mein and fried rice, plus live crab and lobster, dim sum.
Cheap, good dimsum at the Valley
by leonpro at Citysearch
A good alternative to great dimsum over at Alhambra area is this valley favorite. It's cheap and they serve good quality dimsum. The dimsum wrapper is just right - not thick like those cheap restaurants that use it to increase the size of the dimsum.
Choices are plenty, but no specialty dimsum item that stands out. While quality of service is random. There are really great attentive staff, while the others are the typical "don't care" attitude.
As for regular dinner items, it's why I go there in the first place. Great salted fish and chicken fried rice. No holds barred on the salted fish. Yum! Worth a try.
- Pros: Cheap and tasty dimsum, Salted fish and chicken fried rice is wonderful
- Cons: Quality of service is random
Good food but dirty.

The food was pretty good i cant complain, but oh my god its smells nasty outside and if someone were to open the door they'd drag that stank inside. Replacing their tables and chairs would really help too. And the lady who ran the register was very RUDE!
- Pros: pretty good food
- Cons: rude service and the place smells
Same good food as the Granada Hills location, but a lot more packed

We still recommend the bbq pork fried rice and egg rolls. The times that we've eaten in this location, it was always sooooo busy. When a restaurant's that busy, they have a tendency to ignore customers.
- Pros: food & prices
- Cons: too packed & busy at certain times
Really good Dim Sum

This place is really good. I actually don't really like Chinese food generally -- but my in-laws love it and this is their spot. It's really good! The dim sum really rocks, too.
- Pros: Noodles, dim sum
Dim Sum in the Valley!

Dim Sum is Yum!

I realized that I have had Dim Sum every Sunday for the past five weeks. I enjoy that great tasting Dim Sum is offered in the Valley. I'm tired of going to Chinatown or Monterey Park to feed my Dim Sum craving. It's a typical Chinese restaurant with less than average service, but I do have to admit that I was surprisingly pleased with the Dim Sum.
- Pros: Location, Price, Parking
- Cons: Service
