I love cooking at home too.

Dining out is great. I also enjoy cooking Malaysian food at home. I can get almost all the Malaysian food ingredients from www.asiansupermarket365
HOME SWEET HOME
by PenangGirl
This headline says it all. Owner from my hometown & I don't have to balik kampung to get my favorite Char Koay Ka(get it spicy), Nasi Lemak (all the right stuff on the plate) Mi Goreng, Hokien Prawn Mee. Do try the drinks like Barley Ice with Lime, local drink & also the Malaysian Ice Coffee, my Caucasian husband loves that drink. I do highly recommend this place & it takes us 100 miles total trip but worth the drive & hey gas is much lower now too. My husband always order the Mi Goreng & I can't stop thinking about the Char Koay Ka, yummy.
Best Char-kway-Teow in Los Angeles

If you missed the Malaysian Char-Kway-teow, this is the place to go. Simply the best Char-kway-teow you will ever find anywhere, even in KL or Penang.
Then there is the Curry chicken, meehoon, nasi lemak, panang lubak, pie-tee, yum, yum......
don't forget to wash them down with ice barley lime drink or "Kum-Quat" drink.
Enjoy, because I do each time I am there.
It was ok

i never really like this place. I ordered the chicken rice one time, will never order it again. It just seemed like they just simply put any left over chicken on the place for me - they were 2 different kind of meat in the plate and didn't seem to be flesh.. . Satay is no way close to the satay in Malaysia. I do like the vegie curry.
Awesome little restaurant

I've been eating here for years now and the food has been consistently good. I've thought about not writing a review just to keep this little gem a secret so it won't get overcrowded, but now that I moved to El Monte I do more takeout than dine in. It could get crowded during dinner hours and it's a small casual place. My favorite dishes are curry laksa, malaysian fried rice, mee goreng, and chicken satay. Make sure to try the barley lime drink mm mm good so refreshing. Passion fruit iced tea is really good, too. Service is really good also. Very friendly and customer oriented. Great place for casual meals with friends cuz you do family style with most dishes.
- Pros: Yummy food
- Cons: Cash only

Great malaysian food! Recommended dishes: Kankung belacan, Beef rendang, Char kway teow, Clear soup with fish cake, Seafood in garlic sauce, Satay beef, and Sambal sotong.
- Pros: food, food, food!
- Cons: ambience, cash only, no reservations
Sedap makanan - Good Food

Best Char Kway Teow in the entire USA - I have lived and travelled extensilvely for the past 19 years, and tried every "recommended" place. It's small, and if you go late the guy in there wants you out in a hurry. Great nasi goreng, shrimp dishes, good ice kachang (call first). I drive 120 miles round trip to eat there.
- Pros: Best Char Kway Teow, reasonable prices, real malaysians cook
- Cons: distance & area, small, guy likes Chinese onl
Great Malaysian Food

This little restaurant serves one of the best Malaysian foods I have tasted all across California. And I've been there and eaten that! :P The sad thing is though it's a family owned restaurant so don't expect much in ambience and atmosphere. Plus the place only takes cash. However you gotta check this place out just to try the food!
- Pros: Food, Food, Food
- Cons: , Location, Location
Takes it to go...

My coworkers recommend this place to me. We always call in the orders for take out. Everything we order has been good. Our favorites are the crispy beef in spicy sauce, the satay of course, char kway ka (spicy rice cakes with egg, sprouts & green onions), singapore fried vermicelli, kokkien fried noodles regular or veggie style. for the rice dishes we either get the pineapple fried rice or the satay sauce fried rice. Also they take cash only.
- Pros: Good variety
- Cons: poor location, cash only
As close to home as it gets in LA.

Okay, so it's not 'exactly' the same. Little Malaysia adds a few rather exotic ingredients to their curry laksa that I don't remember the hawkers in Kuala Lumpur using. But the mee goreng and the nasi lemak are both great, and the char kway teow is still my favorite. If a hot and spicy noodle soup appeals to you, don't pass up on the curry laksa either... without the pork blood.
