I have coming here for a couple of years now. The banana cream pie, fruit bowls, Quiches tarts are all fabulous! I had them make my wedding cake recently and everything looked so good they ended up making my wedding cake, grooms cake and an extra cake and assortment of cookies for the reception! My husband and I try new places all the time and NOTHING compares to Susina as far as the quality of food and ambiance... REALLY! Sweet lady Jane is a joke compared to Susina- rude service, not a lot of choices, and the last time I was there they screwed up two orders in a row at pickup time! I will never cheat on Susina again!
Pros: cute. great food and pastries!
Cons: it is a little small and can get crowded on weekends

I love their chicken grilled panini's. They are the best chicken sandwiches out there. A must for anyone that goes to Susina's !! I try to order them at least once a week !! Yummy !!
Pros: Excellent food, excellent service !!
Cons: none

The place is cute but their display case came short to me...I was expecting more cakes/pastries to select from. We drove to the westside just to eat here but we ended up across the street at Lulu's instead. Susina's salad/sandwich menu is very limited...only go here if you're craving for something sweet and or wanting a light snack.
Pros: pre-ordered cakes, good coffee, cute ambience, pastries
Cons: Street parking, limited pastries display

Now this is maddening, I go to a place because I hear they serve great desserts and that it is a must try. Too bad I felt like I was bothering the staff to get some service. Because we know that if I write the good you won't absorb the bad -- so I will put the bad first and you can read the good last... A friend and I went to get a slice a cake and seemed to have had stood at the counter for 10 mins unacknowledged. The crazy thing was that there were two people(women)behind the counter seeming to be doing nothing but chatting with each other and wondering why the LAPD was there, looked us dead in the face and still chose not to help us. It took us asking the young man where exactly do we order, and then he bringing it to their attention that we were standing there waiting -- and their reply being "yes we know"(ya think they may have whispered that they were clearly ignoring us) Anyways the punk rock looking young lady finally decided to help unenthusiastically help us...She asked what I like and I told what I wanted and that I wanted it to go -- because she asked if I wanted it to go or not -- she gets the cake and then ask me after did I want it to go again??? Hello are we not only ignoring but deaf while assisting??? I also asked for cookies now - this is where I am most intrigued if this is a normal practice for them -- I tell you the size and say I would like an assortment and then you counter people decide what that entails -- What if I was allergic to nuts or hated chocolate??? I would've be SOOL because she made it her business to put whatever in the box, if I hadn't caught it in time I would've had a box of stuff I know I wouldn't have liked. Guess what I did wind up with a whole bunch of stuff I don't like -- just checked the box -- Let's just say the evening ended with me asking for the owners info...GOODS the Berry Blossom Cake was GREAT!! Too bad I was concerned more about my bad experience than how the cake tasted....So Sad Susina - I do Love cake!!
Pros: Cake
Cons: Customer Service

This is an adorable hang out place. The decor is cute and warm. The cakes are incredibly delicious. You can't go wrong with any of your choices. I haven't tried the paninis but the quiche is pretty darn good. Wash it down with one of their delicious drinks. I'd recommend the Chai tea.
Pros: Everything edible!
Cons: No parking, sometimes hard to find seating

I went to Susina Bakery after seeing it highlighted on the food network. I tried the salami panini sandwich and bought an assortment of the small cookies. The panini was simple and tasty but the highlight was the cookies. The bite size treats have great individual flavors and textures, which makes it tough to stop eating them. Be careful or you'll wonder where all of them went. I'll be coming back to try some of the other pastries and salads they had on the menu.
Pros: The small cookies
Cons: You might spend a little more here than other bakeries

You can get the t-mobile wireless from Starbucks next door if you pay for it. Street parking only. It took about 5 minutes to park including the short block's walk to the bakery. It was very crowded on a Saturday early afternoon with only outdoor seating - which was nothing special. By 4pm there was a little indoor seating. The place was Art Nouveau adorable and I was very tempted by the Pear-Brie Panini. But I had to keep moving for wifi.
Pros: Cute, food looked great
Cons: No Free wifi. Street parking slim.

This place is wonderful, and I'm here all the time. Get there early for the fresh croissants and scones- try the ras-polenta or the chocolate cherry scones that nobody else in town makes. Always get the coffee, it's locally roasted and makes for a delicious latte. Try the home-made granola, spinach and feta croissants, or the ham and cheese quiche for breakfast. Whenever you get here, you absolutely must try the Berry Blossom cake. I can't describe the thing, so I'm not even going to try. Just get it. You'll thank me later. Oh, and the staff is great. Parking at night is a little difficult, but more than worth it for this place.

I found Susina's Bakery in citysearch and decided to check it out. Parking was somewhat difficult, and we ended up parking in a neighborhood nearby. The shop itself is half bakery, half cafe. People come here for small business lunches, to read, or use the free wi-fi. The bakery itself is gorgeous. High ceilings, warm tones, gold and glass cases packed with pastries, cakes and desserts dipped in chocolates. Menus were black chalkboards written in cute colored chalks. The bakery also offered bountiful bowls of fresh salads, sandwiches and lasagna. We decided to try a mediterranean salad, a slice of lasagna and the berry blossom cake for dessert. The salad was nothing out of the ordinary, had the olives, red onion, feta cheese, vinagrette dressing. The lasagna was wasn't anything special either and was actually more like a meaty spaghetti sauce if anything. However, the berry blossom cake was amazing! Its a huge slice (probably a 4 layer cake) with white chocolate frosting inbetween layers of vanilla cake with all types of berries and bits of white chocolate. It was light, but extremely flavorful at the same time. Enjoyable! We finished it all! I would come back here for the pastries, but not so much for the food.
Pros: fresh cakes and pastries! wireless internet
Cons: parking, food

I have been ordering from Sussina for the past 3 months for breakfast delivery at my company. The quiches and pasteries are always yummy. Orders come on time and with a smile. Love this place!
