After reading all the reviews on this place I thought I had to check it out. My friend and I went there for happy hour one night and it was great! The server was very sweet. The place was kind of crowded but it was a fun crowd. They also have an amazing happy hour. On Mondays margaritas are only $2.50. The food was alright but the prices are great. I would def. recommend trying this place out. My friend and go every Monday now. Its got a great crowd, good drinks, great atmosphere and hot bartenders!

Pros: Happy hour

Cons: Parking

LOVE the 2-4-1 margaritas and beers. HATE the frat boy clientele. I love sports, and cute girls. But damn, that place can get full of some meatheads. The seasoned fries are great, and taco tuesday used to be great. But they stopped letting me substitute flour tortillas for corn(yuck). I won't frequent it as much now, but will stop in from time to time.

Pros: Margarita, seasoned french fries.

Cons: Hot staff(who knows they're hot). Meathead customers.

There is an all you can eat Taco plate on Tuesdays, the beans on the plate were super salty, the rice and tacos were okay. The waitress took a very very long time to bring our order of drinks and of our food. It took her about 30 minutes to bring our 2nd order of drinks and to get us more tacos. We had to literally flag her down to get her attention! Horrible place, will never go back

If you are looking to hang out with friends and get drinks and talk with others the entire time, this would be your place. Not a place to have a "romantic dinner", its a place for getting numerous drinks in your system , and getting loud. Its cool to watch the games, but when this tiny bar gets packed, its not so personal, and actually can become annoying. At happy hour, the specials are great, but b/c of how busy it is, dont count on getting the best service.

Pros: good food, good margaritas, good drink specials, good hang out

Cons: too small, when its busy service decreases

They have an awesome happy hour that is pretty good for Hollywood - 2 for 1 until 7 or 8 (i can't remember which one.) Went with a group from the office and had a good time. This place serves queso (good, at that) which is very hard to find in California in general. Drinks were good and had an appropriate amount of alcohol. If you are looking for something nice, this isn't the place. The general clientele was a bit rowdy in general (younger, sort of reminded me of redneck-ish but that was just on the night I went.) If you want a place to go after work or a place to begin the drinking the process, this is place is a good option!

Pros: Happy hour, decent drinks

Cons: Crowded, hard to find parking, "rough" crowd sometimes

Honestly I am a bar person. I work in bars, I go to bars, I know when someone is doing something shady, this place is shady. A. service is terrible they never claim it to be good. After the bill was dropped and we waited 20 min for her to return . Left cash with bartender, then they charged the card we had dropped earlier saying we had walked out on our bill. Normally I would chalk it up to simple thievery within the company, but this is not the first time I have heard this from this establishment. WATCH OUT FOR THIS PLACE! Famous for charging drinks that were not had and double charging patrons. Go someplace with better drinks and service and business practices like El Carmen.

Pros: Cant get in anyplace else......great

Cons: Overcharging, no responsible alchohol service, bad service in general

This is the "college bar for" Sunset Strip...not literally...as it is for 20somethings, not college kids, but has that familiar "lived in" vibe. Go here for happy hour every day (cheap 2X1) and its packed everyday. Do not go here on a blind date (as this girl sitting next to me was doing last Friday). You wait awhile for the bathroom in a line, but its worth the wait as the graffiti in the bathroom has that LA creativity to it and makes for a nice personal break from the sloppiness waiting outside the door. No bar service, waitresses only so you have to snag their attention. On this note, they are terrible. I live right across the street, go here frequently, and there are new ones all the time. You can never find them, they dont come back to your area ever, you have to beg them to take your order....overall, they are the opposite of the "too friendly, I'm your best bro" cheeseball attitude of Saddle Ranch next door.....this is Cabo's biggest weakness. If they had even one person that regulars could identify with or like, it would make this the best spot on the strip....but no, thats why we go to trocadero (oddly owned by the same people). Cabo is dead by 9PM and closed by the time the night really kicks in. Sundays and Fridays are the best. I once sat in here on a Saturday night and nobody was even there. This is sorta for like people who wish they lived at the beach, or just want to pretend they do. Food is greasy, and its easy to steal green plastic cups from here if you want a souvenior.

Pros: Happy Hour spot missing from the strip

Cons: Bathroom line, better mexican food everywhere else

If you want a place to go to begin the night cheaply, this is the place. 2 for 1 drinks from 4-8 and the food is great. The place is small & gets packed, so seating can get difficult. The waitresses are BUSY so plan on waiting a bit, but nothing too irritating. Worth it for the food and the price.

I went here last night and had the WORST experience ever in a bar. sure it's a quaint little place, but it loses it's charm fast. I was there for one hour and the waitress came to my table twice, once to open my tab and once when I had to flag her down to close my tab. She had a bad additude both times I talked to her and was lazy about her job. we had to go to the bar to order drinks because she was no where to be found. Then when she brought me my tab, I obviously am not going to tip her for doing nothing. so I didn't. I look at my bank statment today, and she wrote in and charged a ten dollar tip to my credit card. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL Normally I'm against not tipping, I'm actually over generous, but when you are rude and lazy, I'm not giving you my hard earned cash. On top of that, $8 dollar shots and $7 beers, that's RIDICULOUS! If you go here. You are throwing your money away. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: Ha yeah right

Cons: About a billion

They say when you're in mexico don't drink the water.. well the same is also true about the Margaritas at Cabo Cantina. From the outside the place looks like it could be a nice little dive with excellent food and drinks. Deciding to take a chance we found parking on the street and went it. When you first enter Cabos you're surrounded by a big cloud of smoke, which is followed by a drunken man yelling to see your ID. We found a seat ourselves and decided to order. The food which took forever wasn't that good (we only had nachos) and the Margaritas were awful! I ordered a double and couldn't even taste the tequila, and when I got the bill I noticed my "virgin" margarita was $22! The place is obviously for a young college crowd. If you have one once of class, stay away from this dump.

Cons: slow service, bad food, overpriced drinks
