It is totally different experience from Starbucks. They will not ask your name every time, because they remember your name! They are really nice and friendly. Your morning will be brighten up with a cup of tea /coffee if you stop by. I love their coffee, but I must say their specialty is a variety of tea. They are real tea, not in tea bag. You can smell all and choose what you want to try.

Last time, I was in Culver City I stopped by this cafe because I had heard that it was really good. Let me just tell you that it really lived up to its recommendation. The coffee was awesome and the apple cinnamon muffin that I tried was the best that I have ever had in LA. (I am always in search of a good muffin and I have yet to find one in LA that was to my satisfaction?that is until now!) Not only was the food great but the staff was incredibly friendly. I will definitely be going back!
- Pros: Peaceful Ambiance, Great coffee, Excellent Muffins
- Cons: Limited Parking

These people really know their tea and have an amazing selection of all kinds of tea you can imagine! I had the most aromatic floral tea there which the owner recommended to me. They also have great Illy coffee for you coffee-lovers and some good sandwiches for lunch. The ambience is cheery, clean and modern and the store is located in a really hip up-and-coming area in Culver City near Sony, high-end furniture stores and the Jazz Bakery so, you never know who you might bump into there.
- Pros: Ambience, Terrific Service, Lots of parking nearby
- Cons: None

This is a great little neighborhood Tea Bar, where you can sample a wide variety of hot and cold Tea based drinks. Its very mod and minimalist interior exudes a good vibe and is a pleasant place to hang out... weather your reading a book, having a little biz type meeting or just grabbing something to go, its def a spot to check out if your in the neighbor hood.
PROS: Wide Variety of Tea, Nice Concrete Floors!
CONS:
Great meeting place

Great up and coming place. They keep adding more things to teaforest to make it better. They listen to their customers. There are 20+ varieties of tea, and they keep searching for new varieties to sell.
- Pros: inexpensive, quiet, very spacious
- Cons: metered parking

Tea Forest offers an great selection of fresh teas (no stale tea bags) as well as full assortment of coffee drinks (Illy - for those who know the difference.) It's a welcome addition to a neighborhood that needs a coffee bar but NOT a Starbucks.
- Pros: Great selection, Simple aesthetics
- Cons: Not open weekends
Great atmosphere and friendly service.

Teaforest is a welcome alternative to all of the coffee shops that have been sprouting up since the dawn of the Dot Com era.
Not only does it have a beautiful interior design that makes you want to sit, its products and service will make you want to stay for a while.
Check it out.
