Glenda Lugay ripped me off!

I purchased earrings from the Tres Jolie website in March and never received them. After numerous emails to her, a phone call during which she screamed at ME because she's a busy such woman, and how dare I call her, etc etc, and finally a formal complaint , I still have not received the earrings or a refund. Buyer beware!

Stay away from the Tres Jolie store and website

While I have never been to the Tres Jolie store in Beverly Hills (I live in Florida), I purchased a ring from the website last February ('08). It was necessary to return the ring for an exchange for another size. I returned the ring to Tres Jolie and spoke with the owner, Glenda Lugay, on the phone. After not receiving the replacement ring after several weeks, I contacted Glenda and she stated that the designer of the ring now lived in London and she would contact her there by email. The designer was notified and I waited for several more weeks. This was the beginning of a series of emails and long distance phone calls to Tres Jolie regarding a replacement for this purchase. Glenda told me that she was not longer doing business with this designer (although the ring is still on the Tres Jolie website) and that I could select another item from the website. I attempted to do this numerous times in the past year but the items were either not available or I was told (by Glenda) that one of them was being mailed to me. After 1 year of being assured that an item was on the way (the last time was just before Christmas), I realized that I would have to write this off as a bad experience. I'm glad that I'm only out $75. I would never purchase from the website and have no interest in visiting the store. I've purchased jewelry numerous times over the years from smaller stores/jewelry makers on the web and this is the only negative experience I have had.

Glenda Lugay at Tres Jolie is a Horrible Fraud, Stay Away!

Oh my god!! The same thing happened to me! The owner of Tres Jolie Glenda Lugay is a total FRAUD! If only all her so called big celebrity clients could know what a horrible and fraudulant excuse for a person she is. She also tried to steal my designs and ended up ruining all of them and refused to send it back. She will even go so far as to scream at you about how "busy she is", pretend not to hear you on the phone or not be there (as long as no customers are around!). I feel disgusted everytime I think about her now, interacting with her was the most horrible experience of my life. To all customers and designers please do not support or be conned this greedy and manipulative woman who steals and takes advantage of young new designers. Stay away from Glenday Lugay as she is one big fake!

Avoid at all costs!

The owner, Glenda, is a horrific person. I would never want anyone to have the experience I have had with her and her store. I was selling jewelry on consignment with Tres Jolie for several months however I never saw a check. When asked if she could pay me she said that I was not a priority and she refused to send my check. I had several contracts with her however they never seemed to matter to her as she is not a woman of her word. It didn't seem to be worth a legal fight so 8 months went by with no payment whatsoever. All attempts to contact her with met with screaming, almost incoherent, conversations. In the end I had to cut my losses and was never paid for any of the pieces that she sold. BEWARE shoppers and designers, this is not a good store!!!
