Pleasant atmosphere, good food, great portions

Took friends from San Francisco there early on a Saturday night. Not too crowded, no issue for not having reservations. Very, very personable Maitre d' and wait staff. Lots of local regulars in place (as one should always expect on Larchmont). We had Jamaican tamales, crabcakes, and the empanada appetizer. All was wonderful. The beans and rice as the side dish were excellent. The Korean spirit used in most of their cocktails was different, but worked well in the mojito I had. Decent beer and wine selection.
- Pros: Quality of food, ambience, wait staff
- Cons: Parking on Larchmont
Eclectic Latin American cuisine contrasts with a delightfully mellow setting.

In Short
An exceptional mix of charm and service elevates this quaint Larchmont Village space to a level above other neighborhood eateries. The darling dining room features a cherub-frescoed ceiling, artsy mismatched chairs and flickering tea lights. A patio beckons diners to watch the bustling activity outside on warm summer nights. The mostly Latin-inspired menu features crab cakes, sweet corn Jamaican tamales and mesquite-grilled New York steak topped with tomatoes and onions.
Pleasantly Surprised

We stopped by Prado's one day after walking up and down Larchmont trying to decide on dinner. It turned out wonderful. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the service was top notch. I'll definitely be visiting more often.
- Pros: Great Food. Great Service.
- Cons: none
Looks more expensive than it is

I always walked by, thinking it'd be too much, but one day I stopped to actually read the menu and it was quite affordable. I have been coming back regularly since. The food is great, with lots of options for vegetarians, and it's never crowded, even on a weekend night when every other place is packed. It's romantic and the people who work there are super friendly.
- Pros: Friendly staff, Uncrowded, Good for vegetarians
- Cons: Looks expensive
Always a good choice

It's low-key, friendly, never crowded. The menu is varied and inventive - the salads are terrific. I go there for everything - to celebrate, chill out, and it's always a satisfying experience.

I generally have a different experience every time I go here. The most recent time was great, however. The caesar salad with louisiana shrimp was fabulous, and the red raspberry velvet cake for dessert was also excellent. The ambience is really romantic-- lots of candles. Highly recommended.
- Pros: Ambience, Dessert, Service
- Cons: Expensive
Poor Value

Not recommended. They increased the price by 50% recently and the deco is so so. So is the food. Won't go back again. Not worthwhile.

This is a great getaway for lunch. We all enjoyed our food. It was flavorful and different. The presentation was thoughtful and the portions just right. When you are looking for something a little different, I would recommend Prado.
- Pros: Larchmont, Delicious, Presentation
- Cons: Not Cheap

one of the few times ive had latin american cuisine, but i was pretty impressed. crab cakes are dry, dont get those. the bread is fantastic and warm, garlic jumbo shrimp is very tasty, and in all, most dishes seem relatively healthy (seafood). the best part was definitely the desserts!! rasberry cake, warm apple tarte with vanilla ice cream, tiramisu...all really great!
