Simply The Best

The restaurant brings the taste of India to the US, its very good, I never tasted food like this before,I had mouth watering experience , wud luv to come back everyday, it is also very cheap and plus you can eat as many as you want.... awesome, I encourage every one to try this store out.

• Pros: Best Service,verry kind and pleasing, also good food.
• Cons: its so good that it should open earlier

Great Indian Restaurant, taking the taste of India to US

The food was excellent. What my family like the best was that the owner Raj was there. And he was nice and pleasant. The service and servers were excellent.

best indian food i’ve had…if you happen to go on a day they have goat curry, try it…even if you’re not into the sound of eating goat, you won’t regret it. sooo good. and the best tandoor chicken i’ve had anywhere. and everything else is reallly good too. haha. i don’t know that i’d go to this one alone…it’s the kind of place you go for conversation and good times, but if you’re down for that you will like it.

Not So Good Food and Rude Owner

I swear that this bad review is warranted. I LOVE Indian food, it's absolutely delicious! Peacock Gardens has increased their prices since the last year and the food quality has dimmed. Their Mutar Paneer and Makhni Chicken tastes more like a full can of tomato sauce with too much salt. As of 2006 - the buffet has risen from $7.95 a person to $10.95 a person. They say because they have added champagne to the menu. Well, what if I just drink water with my meal?? I still have to pay extra!!!

The owner, his name is Raju, was overtly rude because we weren't used to the new taste of their food. So, we asked him questions about it. Like- if the recipes have changed. There was barely anybody in the restaurant, so we know no customers overheard us. Yet, he became irate and told us to "show some manners towards the cooks." All we did was ask about the recipe, and now we have no manners?!?

All in all, worst dinner experience of our lives!

• Pros: The staff was pleasent, unlike the owner.
• Cons: I have never met an owner that desperately wanted to shun away his customers!! He left a bad taste on all of our mouths.

Great Value, Great food

i work across town and my indian coworker brought me to peacock gardens a few days ago. i was very impressed at the quality of food in their very very inexpensive buffet. their naan was top quality and everything was absolutely delicious. i fear i ate too much. i'm definitely going back ... soon. =)
