Example: great place for good bread
by Khan
I actually had a party of my own about 4 years ago and the food was pretty good but today i went to attend one of my friends party tonight and i was so disappointed with the food quality? Everything tasted so horrible that i didnt even eat much and had come home & enjoyed eating my mom's home cooked food which was honestly 10 x better than this restaurant!
I am sorry but i would never recommend this place to anyone!
- Pros: garlic naan is good
- Cons: Horrible food
Former loyal customer - price gouging
by Macarru
I have been a fan of this restaurant until now. I recently tried to place a large order for a party. I was quoted 2 days ago $40 for a 1/2 tray of Chicken Tikka Masala and $27 for 1/2 tray of Bengan Bharta. I called again to place my order an was quoted $50 for CTM and $40 for BB. I was very surprised and disappointed because I had planned on serving food from this place. In trying to clarify the price change, I was not given a clear reason. I told them that I was very disappointed and would order somewhere else. I was then insulted further by receiving a call 5 minutes later informing me that the price had increased. This is an unfortunate example of price gouging by this restaurant. I will not promote business to a restaurant that takes advantage of customers through dishonest and greed.
Food is good but kinda pricey
by HINS
I eat here semi regularily only because of the price. Food is actually alright. Garlic naan is excellent but the price was kinda steep. I found prices comparable in Beverly Hills and Westwood.
- Pros: Good food
- Cons: Steep Prices
HAIR IN FOOD
by prevcustomer
I went to Diamond Palace, as I used to go there quite frequently for lunch.
On one occassion, i noticed a waiter sticking his finger in the wine glass to take out pieces of cork. I didn't mention anything at that time, however, below requires attention:
On a recent visit I opened up the Garlic Naan only to find 10 STRAIGHT HAIRS embedded in the bread. I was so disgusted I almost threw up my food. It appeared as though someone put them there on purpose, as they were perfectly aligned.
One time previous, we went to have the mints, and little creatures crawled out. The waiter said he told the owner but they did not do anything about.
Although I was a frequest customer, I think you should reconsider going to this restaurant.
- Pros: Good Food
- Cons: Dirty, unhealthy, should be closed down
Delicious Naan Bread
by swollenredlips
Diamond Place Indian Cuisine is the place to be! Honestly, they have the best naan bread in the entire world. I am always watching my carbs when i eat. Let me tell you...once i tasted that bread, carb counting didnt even matter to me anymore. I probably ate more carbs at the resturant than i wouldve in a week. ITS THE BEST.
The servers are very friendly and welcoming as well. You have to try the yogurt sauce and the indian cheese. VERY DELICIOUS.
- Pros: Great food.
Best Indian in Greater LA Area!
by rachlock
My Indian co-worker introduced me to Diamond Place about 5 years ago. Since then I've been hooked. I've tried Indian in Pasenda, West LA, Torrance... nothing compairs to Diamond Place. They do have the best Tikia Massla (sp) arond. I haven't found a beter indian restaurant than this. The food is the best I've had! The setting is nice any they play indian music. Service is always great and they will feed you all the naan you want when you get the buffet.
- Pros: Best food ever, great ambience
- Cons: Can get full at lunch during the week
Diamond in the Rough
by nomis
Diamond Palace is great! We always order our food to go, but their restaurant's interior is nice with an adjoining banquet hall. In fact there always seems to be some banquet going on there. Portions are always enough for tomorrow, and service is A+. On my last trip, I was even offered free drink while I waited for my food. So nice!
- Pros: Great taste! Nice staff.
- Cons: none
feels like your visiting india
by iluvindian
This place is a quiet and relaxing place to dine. It gives you all the feels of visiting a foreign country. The food is amazing and divine like it was slow cooked and seasoned right in front of you. It is always fresh and the quantity is more than worth your money. The waiters are more than friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are entertained. They are so interactive with my son and always give him baskets and baskets of naan (indian bread). He loves it. I recommend the sunday afternoon buffet. It is all you can eat and all u can drink champagne. Its wonderful.
- Pros: great food, friendly service, nice setting
- Cons: sometimes crowded, hard parking
Great Service! Better Food!

Went in on a Wednesday night about a half hour before close. The place was empty, but the wait staff was more than willing to take the extra time to wait on me. No rush, great food!
- Pros: Great Food, Great Service
- Cons: Hard to Find
