terrible service

I have been to Panty Raid for the last time and it truly saddens me. I live in SIlverlake and have enjoyed shopping at Panty Raid in the past, but the rudeness of the staff has reached an unbearable level. I went in to buy some new lingerie, not deal with snotty clerks who roll their eyes at me and call me "sweetie" in a condescending tone, not to mention the bad advice when it came to fitting me for a bra. I considered contacting the owner, to let her know how her clientele was being treated by her staff, but discovered that the girl I assumed was a salesgirl, is actually the manager. They carry lovely things and have a fabulous selection, but the reason to go to a store like this is for service... I think I'll stick with the internet.

Silver Lake gals don't have to head over the hill for their scanties when this comfy, funky and very independent undie emporium is open daily. The roomy, pup-friendly shop features a sexy, mid-range collection of imported and domestic bras, panties, stockings, sleepwear, slips and foundation garments from makers like Hanky Panky, Cosabella, Felina, Huit and Spanx. Everything's displayed for easy browsing, and Jen and Jessica are incredibly knowledgeable about stock, sizing and care instructions.

My Wife's Favorite Store

I recently joined my wife on one of her frequent trips to this store, and now see why she shops here. The items she purchases are always very pretty but not tacky. As a man, it can be intimidating to go into a lingerie store, but I felt very comfortable here. The displays are very modern and really show off the wares well. The staff seemed very helpful, and once again my wife was made happy. I may even come back on my own when her birthday comes around.

Best Lingerie in Los Angeles! Hands down!

I. LOVE. PANTY. RAID.

There is frankly nowhere else in town where you can get everything you'd ever need, undergarments-wise. Every day stuff? Check. Fancy time? Check. Gift? Check.

The staff is a delight, always, and the owner is a long time Silver Lake resident. If you don't see it, ask. The inventory is huge, but the girls know it all by heart, and are always able to pluck just what you need off the shelf.

Also? Smells like cupcakes! And a Boyfriend corner!

The only bad thing I can say, is that their panty return policy is very strict--once you go out the door, they will never, ever take them back (bottoms that is). But then again, why would you buy underwear from somewhere that did (I'm looking at you Victoria's Secret, Target, every department store ever)?

• Pros: huge inventory, knowledgeable staff, cute packaging
• Cons: backing out of their parking lot is scary
