I JUST GRADUATED JAN 2012 FROM THE MEDICAL ASSISTANT PROGRAM WITH HIGH DESERT MEDICAL COLLEGE. THE TEACHERS AND STAFF MEMBERS WAS AWESOME AND EASY TO WORK WITH . THE PROGRAM HAS SHOW ME ALOT OF HANDS ON EXPERIENCE AND VERY THOROUGH IN THE TRAINING!!! I DO PLAN TO ENROLL IN THE ULTRASOUND TECH PROGRAM SOON. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COLLEGE, WELL WORTH THE MONEY...A++++
They Don't Care About You!!!!
by rowflow
Seriously the owners of the school the sleep with each other. They just want your money and they will say anything to try and get you into their school. The owners are never there and when they are there and if you have a problem they dismiss it. IF YOU WANT YOUR MONEY'S WORTH GO TO A REAL UNIVERSITY OR COLLEGE THIS COLLEGE SUCKS. I QUIT AFTER 3 MONTHS BECAUSE I HAD A HORRIBLE TEACHER I CANT UNDERSTAND WHO IS A FAT LAZY JERK THE OWNERS ARE JERKS TOO. AND THEIRDARN VENDING MACHINE IS ALL TORN UP.
High Desert Medical College
by Kriss R
I graduated from High Desert medical College Dec. 2010, passed the NCLEX on my first try 4 months later and had a job as soon as I got the results. I had a good experience with the school. They were going through alot of changes while I was attending and it really seems that those changes have all been for the best. They are truly heading in a great direction. They have a great staff. Jean, Clinical Coordinator, and June, Career Services are awesome.!! June helped me write a great resume and the ywo of them had me set up several leads for a job as soon as i passed the NCLEX. They are eager to help and are willing to go above and beyond for you. I recommend this school.
New Owners
by NicoleJo123
High Desert Medical College was acquired by new owners beginning July 2010. The school has improved dramatically with an upgraded facility, structured classes, accredited and quality staff and accessible administration. In addition, Career Services professionals are in place to assist with superior job placement after graduation. HDMC is a great school with attentive instruction, flexible classes and affordable and accredited programs. Before you believe the negative reviews that you read, stop by HDMC and see the improvements that have been made.
LVN program
by zonnie
I went through their LVN program and now I have a nursing license and work as a nurse. They are approved by the board of nursing and you can look on the state website -state of california board of vocational nursing or call the board of nursing and check it out. I wouldn't have been allowed to take the test if they were not accredited. The classes are very small but you get a lot of attention and unlike some of the other schools they try hard to make sure everyone passes. Your class is like family.
- Pros: very low cost, easy admission, no waitlist
- Cons: small school

I'M GRADUATED IN ULTRASOUND FIRST PILOT CLASS 2004-2006
by ELIZABETH
I DID GRADUADED IN ULTRASOUND DIAGNOSTIC PROGRAM 2204-2006 , FIRST PILOT CLASS AND. I DID LEARN ALOT IN THIS PROGRAM .., WAS DIFFICULT BUT WE DID LEARNING , WHEN WE START THE CLASS WE HAD A EXCELLENT & EXPERIENCED ULTRASOUND INSTRUCTOR I STILL REMEMBER HER NAME RONNIE VELAVERDE... & SHE WAS CERTIFIED WITH YEARS OF EXPERIENCED .MY PROBLEM WAS AND IS THAT I DON'T HAD THE MONEY TO PAY THE BALANCE REMANING . SO THE SCHOOL IS STILL HOLDING MY DIPLOMA..I DID HAD ALOT OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH DOCTOR'S AND FOR NORTHRIDGE HOSPITAL ...BUT ..BECAUSE I DON'T HAD A COPY OF THE DIPLOMA ...I CAN'T WORK IN THIS FIELD....BUT TODAY I HAD MORE THAT 45 % TO PAY MY REMAINING BALANCE AND I HOPE THAT A LEAST THE SCHOOL CAN GIVE ME A COPY OF THE DIPLOMA ...SO I CAN GO TO WORK AND PAID THE REST OF THE MONEY....ALL SCHOOL HAD A BAD REPUTATION & IS FOR THE STUDENT TO CHANGE THAT .A CLASSMATE SHE GRADUADED WITH ME ...SHE IT'S WORKING IN ULTRASOUND SOME PLACE IN SAN DIEGO...I STILL STUDYING AND REVIEW MY CLASS NOTES ..PREPARING MYSELF FOR THE ARDMS... ULTRASOUND IT'S NOT EASY AND AT FIRST WHEN YOU START WITHOUT A EXPERIENCED IT;S DIFFICULT . DON'T GIVE UP........SINCERLY ...ELIZABETH
- Pros: GOOD TEACHER, I DID LEARNING....
- Cons: I DON'T HAD MONEY TO PAID THE FULL BALANCE, BUT I HAD 45%
Not worth it!!
by MICHELLEJOHN
The cost for programs is a lot cheaper but the school has a bad reputation any where you go. It's not really worth saving that amount. Their medical programs are not excepted at major hospitals in area. Be sure the program is acredited before you throw your money away. The school is very dirty and their so called teachers are not always certified like they say they are. Phony school!!! Everyone seems nice at first but you find out they only want to make $ and no guarantee you will have a job. Most of their students don't end up qualifying for a job (that is more than 75%) So be very very careful what program you choose. I suggest you call facilities (depending on your program of interest) to see what they think of the school and if you will qualify for a job after you finish their program. You may save a few dollars here and there for the program but when you are finished you realize that your certificate is not valid and your $ used is not good enough for a job. I recommend you go elsewhere or you'll end up throwing your $ away!!
- Pros: cheap program
- Cons: not accredited / bad reputation/ teachers are not experienced
