Great Service, But Unlike Four Seasons no Loyalty Marketing
by 1HonestBroker
I enjoyed Raffles L'Ermitage and the beautiful rooms and suites, at the time, the largest in Beverly Hills. They deserve the Mobil 5 Star, which if you are a luxury traveler, everyone knows that AAA 5 diamonds are easy to obtain as Mobil is totally objective, unlike Conde Nast, whom have to please advertisers. The place is beautiful and the bathtub is great as is the staff, although somewhat cold. I felt that as I spent US$10,000 at that location, it would have been nice to receive a Christmas card as I received Bose Silent Headset from Wolf Hengst, retired President & COO of the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. For me, it is all about the subtle nuances. Overall I would highly and without reservation recommend Raffles L'Ermitage as they consitently receive 5 Mobil Stars unlike many properties that brag about their triple AA rating when they may only have a meager three Mobil stars.
- Pros: Raffles has some of the largest rooms ans suites in BH
- Cons: No follow-up even for repeat guests
Elegant yet Comfortable
by alisonkramer
For such an expensive hotel in such prime real estate neighborhood - this place felt more homey that haughty. I recommend skipping room service to enjoy an elegant breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Enjoy goat cheese and heirloom tomato omelettes under palm trees on the adorable side patio.
My favorite hotel in LA

This one is simply hard to beat . The rooms are amazing , with an incredible zen like calm feeling . The service is perfect , the food and wine list is great , the pool on top of the hotel is wonderful , the lounge is happening I have stayed there several times and everytime I walk into those rooms I put on the robe and feel that warm , calm , relaxed feeling that is hard to find at any other hotel .
- Pros: rooms
- Cons: not cheap
5 Stars/5 Diamonds Large Rooms
by dscn123
Raffles L'Ermitage is unassuming upon approach to the hotel but boasts the largest standard guest rooms in Beverly Hills. Each room has minimum 750 sq. ft. and separate large bath and shower. Mini bar boasts included refreshments and hotel designed by so that you may never see another guest while the hotel is booked. The suites are worth the extra cash and if you visit Asia you know the rest.
- Pros: Service, Style, Relaxing
- Cons: Stoic, Spa, No Comp Limo
High class, low key
by chains007
Great place in Beverly Hills - very understated and low key. However, many of the biggest stars come here to hang out. You'll see A-list stars in the lounge downstairs. Nothing flashy at all - just a nice chill place too see celebs.
Scenic spa situated atop Beverly Hills' luxurious Raffles L'ermitage Hotel.

In Short
Located a half-level below the roof, the small spa is partitioned off from the resort's fitness area, which offers a 180-degree view of Beverly Hills and its environs. Private men's and women's locker rooms are decorated in neutral color tones and candles, though they lack many amenities like dry saunas and whirlpools. A pair of modest treatment rooms accommodate massage, but only one is fully functional for facials. Services incorporate the spa's many private-label products.
The Details
Steam room, exercise equipment. Massage, body treatments, facials, hair removal.
Gorgeous and maddening
by booboobandaid
The rooms are absolutely amazing. The hotel is serene and feels very private. But they have a problem with service so major that I don't know if I'd continue to stay there if it wasn't my company's preferred LA hotel. I mean, I love the personal attention that I get as a frequent guest - they have some extraordinary people on staff like Christine, Octavio, Brian, and the bar waitress who's going to law school - who are world class, never hesitating to go that extra mile to make my stay enjoyable. But I feel more corners cut every time I stay there. Food prices go up, quality goes way down. Spa isn't great. Just paid $90 for the worst in-room pedicure ever. L'Ermitage, all I can say is, please step up the service quickly and make more world class hires, or you might lose that fifth diamond!
- Pros: Fantastic rooms, free high-speed net, a few great staffers
- Cons: , late night bar staff
Celebs and moguls love the personal (and private) touch of this chic Beverly Hills boutique hotel.

Industry-types taking a meeting, actors promoting their latest project and touring musicians can be found reclining on the soft sofas of the low-lit Living Room, L'Ermitage's lobby and official gathering area. There's also the adjacent Writer's Bar, named for the framed (and original) scripts from famed movies like "The Godfather," "Good Will Hunting," and "The Graduate." Upstairs, hotel guests hide out in spacious rooms sparsely appointed with Asian-inspired platform beds, wood sliding screens and spiky flower arrangements. The real action takes place within private, fully loaded cabanas beside the rooftop pool. Spacious rooms feature 40-inch television screens with web TV access, CD players, data ports, computer cables and a personal fax-copier-printer. Bonus amenities include a sophisticated electronic sensor that memorizes the vitals of each room and will restore--at the touch of a button--such ambient comforts as light settings and room temperature.
The only choice
by YogaSquirrel
This is the best hotel in town by far. The bar scene is hip but low-key (this is not "The W" crowd.) The service is friendly (If you want attitude, go to the Mondrian), and the food is first class. And if you're into modern French/Asian decor, this is the place for you. This is not your grandma's hotel (go to the Regent for that).
- Pros: Free valet parking, friendly service, excellent food

This was truly a home away from home. Whenever I come to LA...I stay here...
