Not your average business hotel, just a mile from the Pacific.

The Scene
Nestled on 26 lushly landscaped acres in the South Bay, this large, high-rise hotel offers the feel of a resort that has been created with both the needs and the less than flamboyant style of the business traveler in mind. Beyond the huge convention and meeting halls, off hours can be spent playing golf on the hotel's own par 3, nine-hole executive course, which winds around the property and beside an artificial lake.
The Details
Standard and contemporary guest rooms are amply sized and designed to meet business travelers' needs with work desks and data ports. All the resort amenities are here, but in an understated way, and include a heated pool, health club and, of course, Jacuzzi, where unwinding execs leave their office cares behind.
Good value, poor service

The customer service here is a little less than friendly. I expect helpful, friendly service from Marriott hotels. The people at the counter seemed pretty complacent to be working there. Not smiling that much, and not very helpfull. I asked if their were any suites available at check-in, she just grumbled, not tonight and never looked up. Didn't offer to see if there were any available for the next night.
The pool area wasn't kept up during the day. Dirty used towels, layed sprawled out all day, trash, etc, wasn't picked up as the day went on. The pool water itself was cloudy, the service dirty with leaves. It's only a 3 par, 8 hole so don't expect a luxerious hotel with an 18 hole course either.
The "non-smoking" room smelled of smoke. Not to mention the carpet was stained in a few places.
Overall, I probably wouldn't stay here again.
- Pros: Inexpensive
- Cons: Smelly, poor customer service, dirty pool

Caters breakfasts, buffets, champagne brunches and sit-down dinners. Conference and theater-style seating for business events, reunions, weddings and more.
